#repost from my other page @motivatedmeals. This is me and my boyfriends weekly meal prep. We both have ground turkey with taco seasoning and brown rice. I increased his portions since he eats more calories than I do. For my veggie I did roasted spaghetti squash, he's not a huge fan of it so I just gave him corn with olive oil butter. This is simple and delicious. The @motivatedmeals tip of the day: if you use store bought seasonings go with low sodium and always garnish with a fresh herb to jazz it up if you can I used parsley. #healthygourmet #mealprep #motivatedmeals #mealprepmonday
I want to give a special shout out to @ririencina years ago before I started my health fitness and food blogging lifestyle I followed her on Instagram. I thought it was so cool that she would post her homemade creations with an awesome balance of healthy food and cheat days! I was inspired by her to find ways to make everyday meals lighter. I learned posting it worked like a food journal, and also was something I can use to hold myself accountable. My hopes in this overall journey is to inspire someone to do the same. Now years later I embark on this my next venture which would be my meal prep food business @motivatedmeals. I'm still doing the legal aspect of it but I'm considering doing it on the side until it truly kicks off. It's been tough I want to devote 100% of my life to it but I have a full time job which gets in the way. At this point I want to do a kick starter or even look to see if people want to invest in it. I cook from scratch so seeing the ingredients laid out makes it easier for me to know what the hell I'm doing with my life. This is a lighter version of beef and broccoli. Used top sirloin since its a leaner cut of steak and tons of broccoli. Another yummy @motivatedmeals meal prep Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. I made my own sesame vinaigrette to keep it light store bought dressings can be high in sugar, sodium, and fat. Honestly it's not that hard to make your own salad dressings they have a shelf life of about a week. I used sesame seeds, sesame oil, raw organic honey, truvia, garlic, red pepper flakes, fresh orange juice, low sodium soy sauce, pepper, sea salt, and rice wine vinegar. When you meal prep it's important to separate certain ingredients! I put the mandarin oranges on the side so they won't make the rest of the salad soggy. This was so good ground chicken bolognese on top of "zoodles"(zucchini noodles). This was a good low carb, low fat, and low calorie meal prep. The best part of this was the fresh veggies I added mushrooms, carrots, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and topped it with fresh basil.
