This is one of my most favorite #throwback #transformation pics that I've posted. The reason for me re posting is because, I was working out and had started a conversation with this dude I met at the gym the other day. we started talking about workout routines etc and he mentioned he wanted to look like me. He said "that's genetics right?" I told him no, I have been training consistently for 5 years, I was skinny. He was like "for real?" , I showed him this transformation and his reaction was priceless, he couldn't believe his eyes lol. The whole point of this post is to show you (the reader) that I myself worked my butt off for years to get to where i am at today, I'm not blessed with great genetics, and until you actually find out the story behind someone's progress you'll understand further that yes it does take years of dedication and consistency to progress. It is possible to get to where you wanna be. The most important thing I've learned over the years is to have patience. Trust me, it pays off in the end.
I'm not where I need to be, but thank god I'm not where I use to be.
This is the type of mentality you need to have in any aspect of life. It is the type of mentality that has gotten me this far into my fitness journey and where I am right now in my life. Don't give a shit about what anybody thinks. Do what you have to do, for you.
Late post, Pic from the other day forgot to post. Baked Ziti , & a yogurt based smoothie, peanut butter, banana, strawberries, mango & pineapple. 💪😋🍴
I didn't have the time. But I made time. I didn't have the knowledge. But I did what I knew. I didn't have the support. But I learned to support myself. I didn't have the confidence. But the confidence came with results. I had a lot going against me. But I had enough going for me. I had plenty of excuses. But I chose not to use any of them. #throwback to one of my winter training sessions.
80% lean 20% fat Ground beef, cooked baby spinach, Soy & Flaxseed Tortilla Chips, Nutella spread on toasted multigrain bread & to drink, two scoops of syntha 6 edge chocolate milkshake protein.
If you don't have this #throwback song in you're workout playlist, download it, now! 💪Catch me on the drums tho for this song. (Expert on rockband that is) 😂
Selfies from today's late workout session. Couldn't decide which one to upload, I can see gains in both pics lol so I made a split pic 😁 . Today was a good day, I was thinking this weather was going to mess with how I would feel in the gym today. It was raining most of the entire day here in the city. I actually felt pretty good.
"Somehow we’ve come to believe that greatness is only for the chosen few, for the superstars. The truth is, greatness is for us all. This is not about lowering expectations; it’s about raising them for every last one of us. Greatness is not in one special place, and it’s not in one special person. Greatness is wherever somebody is trying to find it. Find your greatness.”
Little #throwback video of me at a family get together. Man I was skinny lol bet you can't spin a basketball for a longer duration then I can 😜👆🏀
