I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in the DC Metropolitan area. I’m a Mexican food enthusiast, lover of all things floral, high school art teacher, and grad student. I also paint and offer interior design and wedding reception creative services. I started this website in 2015 as a portfolio of my college work while finishing my final semester. Now, I have switched it over to a blog and will post as I go.
After having spent my undergraduate years drinking $4 margs at the local Mexican joint and sporting a permanent messy bun and clay covered leggings, I have since upgraded to cleaner clothes and more expensive taste. Despite inclinations to pull a Nigel Thornbury and travel the world taking photos in the jungle, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Salisbury University, a decision I only regretted when I thought hurricane season was over. In my free time, I enjoy condesendingly discussing instagram posts with my best friends, finding hipster coffee places and pretending the smell doesn't bother me, and paying for overpriced aquarium tickets to play with my spirit animal - the stingray. I relocated to charm city post-grad and then found my way back to the DMV. I worked as an interior design specialist, furniture seller, and visual merchandiser for a few years.
In 2018, I moved to the suburbs of Philly to pursue my dream of being an art educator. This year will be my second year as a high school art teacher, 5th grade homeroom teacher, and preschool - lower school yearbook advisor. It will also be my first year as a Boston University graduate student.
