“Bryan Valdez is interested in reproducing the landscape of Mexico City on canvas. His work makes reference to the commonality of encountering defaced buildings, once pristine structures that have been painted with corporation’s logos, graffiti art, and political parties emblems. The visual culture of the city is ephemeral, and changes constantly as old advertisements fade and a new political parties emerge. Thus, Valdez records the physical reality of something that will soon become antiquated.” - Nahui Garcia (Curator)
