November/December Favorite- Younique Fiber Lashes!

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a good time over the holidays :) We had a great Christmas with our families!

During all the craziness of the holidays, there was one new thing that I used the most and that was my Younique Moodstruck Fiber Lashes! Let me just say, after you wear the fiber lashes, you won't want to go back to regular mascara. The fibers, which are made of 100% green tea fibers, dramatically lengthened my lashes!

The directions say to first apply a thin coat of mascara. (If you want a more natural look then skip that step.) Once that is dry, then apply the transplating gel. Before the gel dries apply the fiber lahes and seal that in with another coat of the transplating gel. Now, if you want your lashes to be even longer you can keep building it up. This is great for when you wanna glam it up for a night out ;) Just keep going and add another coat of fiber lashes and seal it in with the gel. Three coats is good for me, but you can keep going if you want! :)  A good tip would be to use a clean mascara wand to comb through your fiber lashes before you seal it in with the gel. This helps to prevent clumping. One thing I was worried about was how hard is it going to be to get this off? But clean up is easy :) Just use warm water and make up remover and that's it! Yay, because I LOVE putting make up on but I HATE taking forever to get it off lol Aint got time for that lol

I've worn the fiber lashes several times now and I'm totally hooked!  Everytime we go out, I'm like "Wait, lemme go put on my fiber lashes!" haha. Anyway, if anyone is interested in getting the fiber lashes, my good friend Samantha Root is a Unique presenter and can hook you up ;) She is on facebook and you can also find me on my other social media at:

Sept./Oct. Favorites

Hey guys! Hope everyone has been doing well these past few weeks. Well lets get down to it. Here are the top five things I've used the most this past Sept./Oct.

1. Equate's version of CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion- Claims to help replenish skin's moisture barrier and boy does it. I can actually feel a layer of moisture over my skin and it lasts forever too.

2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup- I picked this up because I heard it's a dupe for Nars Sheer Glow. I wear the shade Nude 40. This shade matches my skin tone really well. (I usually have to mix foundations to get the right shade so this saves me a step). I would reccommend this for normal to dry skin. I have extremely dry skin so matte foundation makes my skin look overly dull and every line on my face super visible. I LOVE this product because it gives me just the right amount of glow and it has medium to full coverage but doesn't feel heavy on my skin. It's a winner for me!

3. essence Silky Touch Blush oin the shade 20 babydoll- this shade is a great color for all year round. Like the name says, it feels silky to touch and blends well on the skin. It's really pigmented and has a suddle glow but not shimmer. I just like it.

4. Nyx Lipstick in Harmonica. It's not the color I thought it would be but it's grown on me. It looks lighter on the lips than it does in the tube which surprised me. It is kind of dry so I apply my Baby Lips Crystal in Beam of Blush over it and it makes a pretty combination.

5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser dark circle treatment concealer in the lightest shade Brightener. It brightens under my eyes giving me a fresh, highlighted look. It has a sponge tip applicator which some may not like but I don't mind. (I think it's antibacterial but don't quote me on that) A youtuber named shannxxo inspired me to try this and i really love the way it looks!

Extra Stuff-
My fav songs lately have been: Rainbow by Robert Plant and Habits by Tove Lo. Yep I always crank these up when I'm in the car! lol

DIY Wine Bottle Lighting

This is something really cute and easy that my husband and I made with some empty wine bottles we had in our kitchen. All you need is three empty wine bottles (or whatever kind of bottles you would like to use) and a string of lights. I suggest using different height bottles to add some dimension. If you want, you can remove the labels. (I really didn't think about that until looking at the photo, but I think it adds character Lol) Now all you need to do is put the end of the lights down into one of the bottles. Then take another bunch and put it in the next bottle and so on until all three are done. Let some of the lights stick out of the top. Now plug them in and see how awesome they look!

July/August Favorites!

Hey everyone! Since I didn't get to post my July favs, I decided to combine them with August favorites in one blog.

One thing I've definitely been reaching for is my Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte. I considered buying this for awhile and I'm glad I did because it's THAT good!  I love the formula. It claims to be 4-in-1 (lengthen, curl, volumize and condition). It really does lengthen my lashes and makes them stand out. And when I use a lash curler, it actually holds the curl which rarely happens with other mascaras I've tried in the past. As far as the conditioning claim, I will have to keep using it and see what happens.

I LOVE the new Baby Lips Crystal lip balm by Maybelline. I picked up the shade 145 Beam of Blush and I use it daily. This line of Baby Lips is a bit shimmery which I like. The shade I got is the perfect balance of sheerness and color for me. And most importantly, my lips look and feel moist and it does not dry them out.  I will be trying out more shades of these for sure :)

Another product I tend to reach for more often now is the Milani Shadow Eyez. It's a 12hr wear eyeshadow that looks like a chunky eye pencil. I have the shade 03 Champagne Toast and this particular shade has a metallic finish. It can be used on lids, crease, as a highlight on the brow bone or my favorite, the lower waterline. This gives a pop of color to refresh and open up the eyes.

I have really been enjoying my new Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes  by Equate Beauty. These are the ones that compare to the Neutrogena cleansing towelettes and comes with 40 pre-moistened wipes. Claims to remove all traces of makeup and remove waterproof mascara. It's alcohol and oil free. I love these wipes for a few reasons. It has a nice fresh scent (but not over powering), really takes ALL the makeup off, and leaves the skin residue free so no rinsing needed! Yes anything that gets the job done and saves me time gets a thumbs up in my book :) Plus you can find it at walmart for a low price. Woop woop!

June Favorites!

So I know this is a little late but I just wanted to share a few products that I started using last month :)

First, i picked up the Physicians Formula Eye Booster liquid eyeliner and I have been pretty pleased! It's easy to use, very pigmented and has really good staying power. Plus is claims to help grow lashes.  (I am planning to do a comparison blog soon on the Eye Booster vs. Milani Eye Tech Extreme).

I also tried Fresh Lotus Face Cream from Sophora and I am in love with this stuff. It's a heavy moisturizer that also has anti- aging benifits. It feels so fresh and smooth when I apply and I can really feel my skin is moisturized afterwards. Leaves a nice glow too :) I would definitely recommend this product for those with very dry skin.

I now cannot go without my Nair Face Cream. This is the best facial hair remover I have ever used. The process is easy. Just apply to hair (don't rub in) and in about 5 mins wipe off and wash face. Then apply moisturizer. And the best part is doesn't leave any redness or irritation. I have some pretty bad experiences with redness and burining that lasted for couple days. This was so much better and who has time for all that hassle anyway lol

And last but not least, my new obsession: Magic Lumi Primer by Loreal. This is my new holy grail primer. I have been searching for a product like this for so long! It's not silicone based so it won't look matte but instead it has light reflecting ingredients that leave the skin with a dewy glow. If you like that kind of look then you should try this because it's amazaballs. Seriously. lol

Makeup Bag Exchange: Cool New Way to Purchase or Sell Your Beauty Products!

A few weeks ago I was looking around on Tumblr and happened to come across this great little blog called makeupbagexchange. It's a community for buying, selling, and trading cosmetics. This site allows you to sell beauty products that you may have accidently bought the wrong shade of or have extra laying around that you are not going to use. Even products that are lighlty used. Have you ever bought a foundation, got home to put it on and realized it was too dark for you? We all have stuff lying around in our makeup bag that we swatched or tried once or twice and just didn't work out. Here's a place to sell it! Maybe you have been wanting that designer eyeshadow pallete but can't afford it. Buy it from someone who doesn't want theirs for half the price! This is a genius idea! And there are a variety of brands, even high end cosmetics like MAC, Lorac and Too Faced. A perfect way too find a great deal or make some extra cash.

So exactly how does this work? As you scroll down to view the products, the seller will have a photo with a list below with details including: product brand, name/shade, new or used, how much is left, asking price, and cost of shipping. They will also list their contact info so you can private message them if you are interested in the products. From there, you can negotiate things like whether you would like to recieve the product before you send money incase you are worried about scamming. You can use Pay Pal for a more secure transaction. I would suggest offering to pay half up front and then the other half once you have recieved the item. That way both parties are satisfied. If you are worried about sanitation, the site suggest using a spritz bottle filled with rubbing alcohol and gives instructions on how to clean each type of product. They also say, to keep products that can't be sanitized germ-free, use disposable applicators and never go from your face to your product with a used applicator. But don't worry, there are plenty of unused cosmetics too. For example, someone may have recieved a nail polish in their Ipsy bag that they don't want or bought a back up of their favorite highlighter and it was never used.

I am super excited about finding makeupbagexchange, so I just had to share it with all of you! You know I love a good deal, so I can't wait to make my first purchase ;) When I do, I will let you know how my experience goes. So next time you are on Tumblr go check it out! The link is http://makeupbagexchange.tumblr.com

Thanks for checking out my blog today and make sure to subscribe so you can see my March Favoritres post coming at the end of this week!. You can also get Glimmer Rage sent to you by email now! Love you guys and see you again soon ;)

Why Your Eyebrows Are Your Most Important Feature!

A lot of us over look an important feature when doing our daily makeup routine. What is that you ask? Yep, I'm talking about our eyebrows! They've been right there all along (or plucked into non-extistence.) It's easy to ignore them when we are priming, contouring, highlighting etc. Some how they get left up there, bare and lifeless, just waiting for some attention...

So what can we do about it? Every girl needs a good eyebrow kit. Basically, it should come with a wax, to shape your eyebrow and fill in sparse areas, and a setting powder, to set the wax, and to help match the color of your brow. If the wax matches your brow then you may choose not to worry with the powder. (I don't use the powder in my kit very often because the wax matches my brows pretty well.) The kits come in different shades and you can apply the wax lighter or darker depending on your natural brow color.

This is the e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium. It also comes in 3 other shades: Light, Dark, and Ash. It comes with a double sided taklon brush. The angled side helps arch your brows, while the other side helps fill them in. At $3 I would recommend this as a good starter kit. If you want to spend a little more, there are various other name brand kits that come with wand-like mascara brushes and brow pencils. (Tip: If you don't have a kit, you can use a dark eye shadow to fill in the brow).

When you are creating your eyebrows, there isn't one shape that is best. It really depends on your own unique facial features and shape. But get this, when you find the right shape for you, it can accentuate features even BETTER than makeup. If you need a guide, there are tutorials on Pinterest and Youtube that can help you get started. Let me tell you, when I started shaping and filling in my brows, it was the best thing I ever did. (It literally felt like I had a brow transplant from a super model) It totally enhanced my whole look! So if you want to bring out your facial features, try creating fuller, more defined brows. They really are your most important feature!

Stuff about me right now:
1.) My dog Tujacque broke the number 1/! key off my lap top. I freaked out but it still works somehow for now lol
2.) Got a new dog (Buddy) unexpectedly the other day and came home today to find our blinds were all torn up, so now I have a bigger problem than the broken key on the lap top (sigh)
