Luxe Shopping Etiquette
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having "New Money" in my opinion. I believe that those who work hard and break down barriers should be rewarded for doing such. But I also believe that very much like a foreign country, the world of privilege has customs. While these customs are optional, it's offensive to the natives when you don't at least try to adapt. The very least one can do is adjust to etiquette. In my field, one's etiquette tells me everything I need to know about that person and lack of it can betray the image they're trying to convey. Everything from their attitudes to how they shop tells me if they truly live a luxe lifestyle, or if they're simply pretending to.
