When Lace and Velvet met Curves!

With every new season comes a new wardrobe but something that remains consistent in my wardrobe is LV. No no! not Louis Vuitton, I mean Lace & Velvet. (Chuckling at myself)
As I browse through my copy of the Vogue (Issue of March, 2017), I can’t get myself to stop smiling after seeing that Vogue too seems to have an unbiased liking for the same fabrics. Why not? The runway of S/S 2017 itself welcomed these fabrics warmly.
If you thought that these fabrics exhausted all their options in Fashion. Lace and Velvet has tickled the right nerve with not only clothes but with additional baggage (Oh! I mean shoes, bags, accessories and all)
I love the sharpness each of these fabrics brings to attires. When paired either individually or together they scream, ‘serious business’!
Just imagine when paired with curves (my mind is running wild with imagination, already!)
So, here you go. A glance at the magic it spells on my curves.

Above, I have paired a Lace sheer skirt with wide necked full sleeved Velvet (somewhat like a crop top). Since I am wider on the hips, I chose Lace for the bottom and since I lack broad shoulders, I chose lace for the top. I minimalized the accessories to avoid over- crowding but added a stream of pearls which does pure justice to the look. A pop to the lip though never hurts the eyes. (I’ve paired mine with a darker shade of the top)
My hair style speaks raw and unruly because that’s how I prefer it but you could opt for a tight knit bun or a sleek ponytail if you’d prefer a hairdo that goes best with this look.
I know what’s going on in your mind, right now! When one’s dealing with a body as stubborn as mine, having a mind of its own, popping those flesh layers from each corner. I am sure there is a bit of reluctance to experiment with these fabrics.
But, believe me! I am equally surprised to see how beautifully they adapt to my body when paired as seen above.
Saying the above, I am sure you’d rock this look too, so, try it out and let me know your experience. ( I am eagerly waiting to hear from you).
In the meantime, do tell me how you dig my look here and don’t forget to go see how I’ve gift wrapped my curves differently and on frequent basis, on my Instagram handle @that.bronze.girl
Lots of Love, until next time.  Xoxo, ThatBronzeGirl
