Arty's Medical Fund

When my oldest brother Arty (Arturo) was recently diagnosed with cancer, it was a shock to our whole family because he is only forty years old. Arty is a wonderful father, a loving son, and a caring brother. During the day, he is a dedicated teacher at a school in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, where he works with disadvantaged kids. In his spare time, he works as a deejay. Arty has always been there for me when I’ve needed him and he has been someone who has, and will continue to be, an inspiration to me and my family.


Arty has not yet decided the course of treatment that he wants to take, but he’s exploring all of his options. We are asking for financial help because of the unpredictable costs associated with treatment and travel to the treatment facilities that can give him the best care. In addition, some treatments may not be covered by insurance.


We are confident Arty will beat this, and the love and support from all of you will certainly help keep his spirits up as he undergoes treatment. We are extremely grateful for any and all donations. Thank you!
