Hey there!

I'm Abdullah, a computational social scientist and Assistant Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management. I'm also lucky to be affiliated with a few MIT centers, including the Center for Computational Engineering, the Center for Collective Intelligence, and the Connection Science Research Initiative.

My research focuses on ways to improve cooperation, coordination, and intelligence in collective decision-making systems, such as teams, committees, markets, polls, and elections. I also explore ways to advance social and behavioral research methodology through innovative research designs and theory-building strategies. From these two interests, my ultimate goal is to develop a deeper understanding of collective decision systems and how to design them to function effectively in various contexts. Alongside my research interests, I also enjoy teaching courses on analytics, machine learning, research methods, and computational social science. When I'm not working, you can find me hitting the trails for a cycling or hiking adventure, casting a line for some fishing, or whipping up a meal in the kitchen.
