We Do Recover clothing exist to serve the recovery community by raising money to open up affordable sober living homes for people in recovery. We are reaching out to the community and asking for their support in helping us raise money to give back to those that are trying to change their life’s. Our goal is to raise $250,000 through our go fund me account and the other $250,000 will come from the proceeds we raise through our clothing company, We Do Recover Clothing.
Addiction is taking over our community and we believe that here is not enough support and outreach to help those that are suffering. WE CAN and WE DO RECOVER when given the opportunity and the chance to change!
What we want to do is give back the opportunity that was given to us in our early sobriety! We believe that one of the most important factors in allowing us to achieve long term sobriety was the chance to transition into a safe, sober, and structured environment. One of the most important decisions a person will make in their early recovery will be what environment they will choose to enter into once they are sober. Not everyone has a home to go back to that is conducive to their new found recovery and a lot of us come from chaotic lives prior to getting sober. In recovery we learn that in order to change we need to change everything about our old lives. We need to get away from old people, places, and things and to start a new life surrounded by positive and healthy relationships. Having the choice to transition into a sober living can help individuals build a solid foundation that they need to achieve long term sobriety.
Living in a sober living home was a humbling and growing experience. It allowed us to transition back into life with the help and support we needed to be independent while still staying connected with the recovery community. It allowed us to obtain jobs and save money so that one day we can live on our own. And most of all it surrounded us with the love and support from people in recovery that were on the same path as us. The sober setting was a huge stepping block in our recovery and we would love to give the same support to those that are dedicated to living a life of sobriety.
