My Fangirling Life: Nymphadora Tonks- So Close Yet So Far

12 years of life. 9 years of fangirling. Over a hundred fandoms. A thousand characters.
But, if you'll gonna ask me who is my favorite character, it'll be Nymphadora Tonks (Harry Potter). She's the sister I never had. She's closer to me than any real people around me.(And then, she might have been real, anyways.)
I remember the first time I read about her. "Nymphadora, ey?", I whispered to myself. I was filled with unknown, unnatural, sisterly kind of blis. Like, who is she that she makes me happy at first sight? Ehem, I mean at first read.
As a shipper, naturally, I shipped her with Remus (RONKS FOREVER NO ONE CAN CONTRADICT ME) and I passionately shipped it. I know what's perfect for my soul sis.
Then came Half-Blood Prince. Still holding on to Ronks. Wait. Why is her hair not pink? And she's stressed? I know she's strong, 'cuz she's Tonks.
Tonks as a member of the Order task force accompanying Harry to the Hogwarts Express
At the end of the book, when she openly confessed her love for Remus, I was SCREAMING! My OTP! This is love <3!
I went with every step of her adulthood. Her maturing, her marriage, when she got preggy, when Remus left her(I WAS BURSTING WITH RAGE AT THIS!), and her motherhood....
And then her death. I cried a lot at Fred, Snape, and Bellatrix(yes)'s deaths, but I was TOTALLY DEVASTATED at Colin, Remus, and Tonks' deaths. I was staring blankly, silently, my heart ripped to pieces, internally screaming and crying. I just lost a photographer guy, a crush, and most disastrously, a friend, a sister, and someone who was so close yet so far.
An auror, metamorphmagus, and a war hero. But to me, most importantly, she is a mother, a friend, a wife, and someone who was/maybe still so close to me than any other. Nymphadora Tonks, "Its real for us, not for them.", I tell others. You're my friend, a hero, an inspiration.

Summer 2016: More than I Could Ask For.

Hello Everyone! It’s been a while! In this blog post, I’m going to tell you all about transitioning, relaxing, and EVERYTHING about my summer!
1 1. Ms. PasiCLUBan 2016. Ugghh. The first ever Beaucon I joined, has become a DISASTER! Yet, it is also a good experience. I represented my club, Sounds and Rhythm, for category B, Grades 4-6. In the end, I got a special award: Ms. Congeniality.
2 2. Graduation!!! One of the most important things in one’s life! There were sadness, happiness, and pride felt throughout the court. It’s one of my last glimpses of the school, yet I am so happy that my life as a grade school student is done, and I am proud of the work I’ve done. I didn’t get any awards, yes, but it’s worth the work.

The 4 Socially Busy Months

Ok. I knew someone is angry because I didn't post for 3 months. Here's why:
1. My Birthday! I usually schedule my blog postings on the last week/ day of a month. But my birthday is on 11/30, so I became too excited to bother to post in my blog.
2.School Foundation Day. My school, Holy Family School, celebrates its 49th foundation day on Dec.2-4, 12&18. We have a parade on the first day, and given I'm part of the Elementary School Band (Sounds&Rhythm), and one of its heads, I busied myself on preparing and prepping for the parade. Second day, there was a pre-Christmas performance,so I practiced, and that day was one of the bazaar days, so I shopped in pleasure. The next day, I was so tired that I was absent, and just slept and idled throughout the day. December twelve, I was absent because of important matters. And for 12/18, Christmas party, I was supposed to lead the prayer, but not allowed due to my showy fashion.
3.Entrance test. On December 12, I have an entrance test on Quezon City Science High School, which I apparently failed.
4.Christmastime! I slept at 2 am due to excitedly opening gifts, and further opening to my visit to Ta Cru's house.
5.New Year! I just watched TV and fireworks while jumping and eating and Skypeing my cousins and Tita Wini. The next day, I decided to post, but then, no. Not in schedule.
6.Entrance Test Results. As I mentioned earlier, I had an entrance test, and another one, which took place in early October. I failed on both tests. :(
7.Lola Star's Death Anniversary. Although it's supposed to be a sad event, we made it happy in her honor. I met and played with 3 children. Sam, a cute girl in first grade,Josh, who has the same age as Sam, and Jersey, a third grade Ms. Universe.

Note: Its better to have many important events, so you an be popular in and outside school

xoxo, Mara

Holy Halloween

Lets face it.. Halloween usually means scary or horror to some, but what are the real resons why we celebrate halloween?

  1. Halloween is really All Hallows Eve. It somehow means All Holy. Duh. Some might not know, but it's part of a Holy Triddum which includes All Saints' day and All Souls' day. It's a religious celebration.
  2. Business people commercializes it to get money. They forces us to celebrate it like scary or something so they can get many many money.
  3. It's a cultural matter.

On Halloween we also dress up in costumes. This practice arose in France during the 14th and 15th centuries. During the horrible bubonic plague, the Black Death, Europe lost half of her
population. Artists depicted this on walls to remind us of our own
mortality. These pictures and representations are known as the “Dance of
Death” or “Dance Macabre.” These figures were commonly painted on cemetery
walls and showed the devil leading a daisy chain of people into thinge tomb.
Sometimes the dance was re-enacted on All Soul’s Day as a living tableau,
with people dressed up as the dead. But the French dressed up on All Souls,
not Halloween, and the Irish, who celebrated Halloween, did not dress up.
The two were brought together in the colonies of North America during
the 18th century, when Irish and French Catholics began to intermarry. Thus
the two celebrations became mingled, and we began dressing up on Halloween.
It is, as we can see, a very “American” holiday, but Catholic as well.

  5. Celebrate it if you like. Yes, dear. anyway you want, like, or feel comfortable with.
And tips: Don't bother getting up in a scary costume. Just try cutesy costumes such as fairies, princesses or fave superheroes, or just social media thingys like snapchat or emojis, or holy things such as angels, saints, or bishops.
Happy Halloween!!!

Cool!!!!!

Are you ready?

For some, back to school is here. They will start a new journey to popularity. But, ask yourselves. Are you ready? Here are some questions you must answer.

Can I stand out in the crowd?
Whether by intelligence, personality, or beauty, every popular people knows they must stand out.
They must be the best among the best among the rest.
Can I manage my time?
Being Popular needs time to meet and party with your fellow Populars, prepare fabulous clothes for school, being active in school, and having high grades. It will help you stay in your popularity rating.
Can I keep up?
I'm sorry for saying this, but we all need this. From being in with the trends, you might also need to keep up with what other Populars are doing.
How can I be Popular?
Whether by befriending someone popular, getting a boyfriend, being active in the school sports team, or being the prettiest in class, every popular someone has a reason why they are popular. And...........................
Can I maintain it?
You need to. Because, who wants to be popular only for one day? If you didn't maintain popularity, this could probably happen to you. Want it? I don't think so.

I hope you enjoyed my article!

Problem Solving!

In school, there are lots of problems. Physical, Mental, Social and Emotional. Here are some tips to solve these problems!
1. I can't do the Physical Fitness test on PE. What am I gonna do?
Don't force yourself. Tell the teacher you can't do it.  Simple. But if your teacher wouldn't excuse you even if you have the bubonic plague, tell your parents to make a letter and give it to a teacher. If none of this worked, charm your teacher with your wit and beauty.
2. A popular girl says she has a boyfriend. I'm so jealous.
Books before boys. Don't be jealous. At a young age, they made a wrong decision. In my opinion, that girl will get a low academic score despite having a very high popularity rating. You are sent to school to learn, not to do bad things.
3. I'm a nerd. I feel very neglected. The populars at school always mistreat me.
Tell your teacher or counselor what's happenin'. Remember you have something they on't have. You might be better than them. And it'll take a friend or two to show you that you are something special in this world.
4. My grades are soooo low. Can I raise it up? What do I need?
Discipline. Discipline yourself. Try to ground yourself and study. Don't cram. Do everything on time. Try to study during breaks. Just Discipline and will to raise it up.
5. How can I be pretty?
You already are. Just bring it out.
