Leo Babarinde Akinola Dasilva popularly known as Leo Dasilva is a young C.E.O of a number of companies. He is the MD/CEO of Big Figure Small World Limited. At the age of 17, he founded SODZ Entertainment in England. He later replicated the same company in the United States.

Leo is an electronics and communications engineer. He finished his double major degree at the University of Hertfordshire United Kingdom.

Birth

Leo was born on the 10th of July 1992 in Ishaga Surulere to Sir Leo Babarinde Dasilva (FMR Lagos State SSG). His father is from Lagos Island while his mum Sanni RMO is from Obalende. Leo has three sisters and a brother.

Education

Leo had his primary education at Pampers Private School in Surulere. He later completed his secondary education at Christ the King International School and Rainbow College.

Leo later moved out of the country to further his education. He eventually enrolled at Hertfordshire International School of Business and Technology. However, the young Leo went on to bag a double major in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire. He started a Ph.D. but moved back to Nigeria after the demise of his father in 2015.

Career

Leo’s first business interest was in the entertainment sector. He launched and solely funded his first company ‘SODZ Entertainment’ in England on May 28th, 2010. He later expanded it to the United States. The company in the United States has expanded into being a booking company for every International artist and also hosting music festivals in Minnesota USA. In 2012, he started another company in the UK – Big Figure Small World Limited, In October 2015 he launched the company in Nigeria. He has interests in diverse fields which led him to work briefly with Powerview Group in real estate development, logistics and Gas.

He went into the Big brother house in 2018 portraying himself as a businessman that he is and Nigerians and Africans loved him for it. He is a public speaker mostly on things he is passionate about like education, gender equality, real estate, empowerment, and policymaking. His work with UN women got him commendation from the United Nations Women in 2021.

Leo Dasilva’s passion has brought him to equity investment which encapsulates his passion for different business fields and has successfully invested and facilitated investments for several SME’s.

Leo Dasilva was briefly in full partnership with Brandex contractors spear heading the development and business management of properties in different locations around Lagos including Ikoyi, Lekki, Maryland, Ajah, Ojodu Berger and Victoria Island. He also has investments in travel, haulage, logistics and gas. He currently has Investment partnerships in the United Kingdom, Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa

 He has worked for brands like LG Electronics West Africa, Arsenal FC, Remy Martin, Yikodeen, PZ Cussons, Skillshare USA and UN Women.

In 2019, Leo Dasilva started RMO Drive named after his mother after her death in 2018, RMO Drive is currently trying to build a creative space for IDP’s at a relocation camp in Abuja where they can learn various skills.
