These Are the Beauty Products Your Favorite Male Celebrities Wear on the Red Carpet
Defined brows, radiant skin, and supple lips aren't just the hallmarks of a polished no-makeup makeup look — they're also the signature aesthetic of the groomers for Hollywood's finest man mugs. Like your favorite actresses, male celebrities have a beauty team on hand to keep their brows tamed and their skin shine-free for big events and photo shoots, too. (We're looking at you, Nick Jonas, Rami Malek, and Michael B. Jordan.) And if you're American Horror Story star Cody Fern, your groomer also adorns your lids with fierce smoky eye makeup for awards shows.
We asked five men's groomers to share the beauty products they always keep in their kits for prepping the skin of their celebrity clients as well their makeup staples for filling in brows, adding a subtle flush to cheeks, and disguising dark circles. You're sure to find some Allure Best of Beauty Award winners and even a beloved Glossier product on their list of essentials.

Anastasia Beverly Hills
"One of the most important steps in grooming — to me — is brows," says Los Angeles-based makeup artist and groomer Zaheer Sukhnandan, who got Cody Fern ready for his 2019 Golden Globes red carpet moment. "A natural but well-groomed brow is essential." Sukhnandan stocks his kit with the beloved Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz due to its amazing color selection and long-wearing, natural-looking finish.

Make Up For Ever
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is a perfect size when you're on the go. The formula is pretty notable, too. Amber Amos, a makeup artist who's worked with Daniel Kaluuya and Pose's Ryan Jamaal Swain loves its sheer-to-medium buildable coverage that has been leaving skin with a natural-looking healthy glow since 2015.

Laura Mercier
Although Sukhnandan has only been using the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage for the past five years, we have a feeling there are several groomers who have had it in their kits for longer than that. Sukhnandan loves the two-in-one concealer for its unique texture. "It’s on the dryer side, but it sits beautifully on hydrated skin and wears for hours," he explains. And "it’s great for spot concealing blemishes on the face."

Boscia
To eliminate shine on the go, hairstylist and groomer Kristan Serafino, who's worked with Shawn Mendes and Ryan Reynolds, keeps a pack of Boscia Black Charcoal Blotting Linens on hand. Infused with black bamboo charcoal, the blotting papers help "soak up excess oil and debris on the skin and remove midday shine," she says. Plus, the tiny package is easy to slip into your pocket.

Clé de Peau Beauté
For more than a decade, the Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer has been a staple in Marissa Machado's kit. When working with celebrities, like Nick and Joe Jonas, she calls this SPF 25-spiked stick a must-have. "The creamy texture melts into skin," she explains.

Glossier
"Blush might seem intimidating for men but adding the lightest wash of color can create a soft flush and dimension that would be there naturally," Sukhnandan says. Enter: Glossier Cloud Paint, which comes in a variety of fun hues, including Dawn (a tangerine). Its sheer formula tints cheeks and eyes with even the tiniest, pin-size amount of product. For those unsure of how to apply it, Sukhnandan recommends starting at the apple of the cheek and blending down toward the jawline for the most low-key look.

Tom Ford
When picking base products to use on his clients, Sukhnandan tends to reach for cream and liquid formulas because they give skin a fresher, more radiant, and undetectable finish than powders. The Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate, a Best of Beauty Award winner, has not only been one of his favorites for years, but also Carissa Ferreri's. (The latter has worked with the likes of Cole Sprouse, Ezra Miller, and Michael B. Jordan.) "The bronzer shade sits so beautifully on the skin and gives the perfect natural glow," Sukhnandan explains.

Milk Makeup
After discovering the Milk Makeup Kush Fiber Brow Gel on Instagram last year, it's quickly become one of the best brow gels Amos has ever used, she says. It's formulated with "tinted fibers that mimic the look of hair, which is great to fill in sparse brows and also any other facial hair or small, thin hair patches," she explains. "It has great staying power and the clear version is great for keeping unruly brows in place."

Baxter of California
To dilute or extend foundations, concealers, or body makeup, Machado blends them with a bit of the Baxter of California Oil Free Moisturizer. For more than five years, she's reached for the fragrance-free formula because of its lightweight, blendable consistency.

Inglot
For more experimental clients who want to play with colors and textures, Sukhnandan always has several shades of the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel ready. (He admits he rarely gets to use them, though.) Lemon yellow, cobalt blue, and wine red are just three of many playful hues the smudge-proof liner comes in.

Milk Makeup
The Milk Makeup Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder controls shine while keeping skin looking like, well, skin. "The powder is finely milled, so it doesn't get cakey," Amos explains. "It’s a true translucent powder. An added bonus is that the blur effect photographs like a dream!" She admits that she's not a huge fan of setting powders, but this is a next-level exception.

Sisley
Toner is one of the first products Serafino swipes onto a client's face. Not only does it help smooth skin and balance the pH, she says it also helps prepare the skin to absorb the rest of the products she applies. The Sisley Paris Purifying Re-balancing Lotion With Tropical Resins is the toner she uses the most. It's formulated with salicylic acid and lady's mantle leaf extract to help keep skin clear and radiant.

Kosas
Before Rami Malek hit the red carpet for several awards shows over the past two months, Machado swiped the Kosas Kosasport Lip Fuel onto his lips. The minty, hyaluronic acid-spiked balm, which comes in clear, a cool-tone pink, and a warm tan, is hydrating but not glossy, she says. Although it just launched, Machado knows that Kosas Kosasport Lip Fuel will be a staple in her kit for a long time.

Lemonhead LA
Just in case the occasion arises, Machado and Ferreri have a selection of Lemonhead LA Spacejams on hand. "I love glitter and all things glam," Machado says. The sparkly spackle lets you slick on glitter without glue or making a mess. And when you're ready to wash it off, all you need is water. Lemonhead LA's Spacejam is about as easy as glitter gets.

V76 by Vaughn
"The lips are one of the most visual areas of the body, so it is crucial to protect this sensitive area from dryness, cracking, and peeling," Serafino says. Lip balm is an essential part of her kit and the shine-free V76 by Vaugh Lip Balm is her all-time favorite. It's packed with nourishing oils, like coconut and sunflower seed, to keep her clients' lips hydrated for every event.

Sisley
Serafino calls the Sisley Paris Velvet Nourishing Cream with Saffron Flowers her secret weapon during cold and flu season. Her clients tend to get dry and red around their nostrils from constantly blowing their noses, but the cream "neutralizes redness, reduces the feeling of tightness, and allows the skin to feel comfortable all day," Serafino explains.

Paula’s Choice
Amos calls Paula's Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm "hands down one of my favorite lip balms." After discovering it at an event two years ago, she noticed that it keeps lips moisturized without the need to constantly reapply. Plus, it’s shine-free.
