Boy Leonardo’s Battle with the Big C

The total hospital bill (as of July 24, 2019) is P409,972.70 which is roughly equivalent to Au$ 11,200.00. In Philippines, there is no medical benefits like Australia has Medicare. We are trying to raise money for my mum's brother, my uncle, for his hospitalisation bills and other daily expenses such as chemo and meds.

It all started when I felt that my voice became hoarse, I tried to ignore it since i don't have money to pay for regular hospital visits. Days passed by, the sore in my throat worsen until it becomes unbearable.

Subsequently, we've came to discover that I am diagnosed with stage-4 Laryngeal Cancer (a disease in which malignant cancer cells form in the tissues of the larynx). The doctors told me that there is a need to remove the mass tumor that developed in my larynx. I've already undergone my first surgery. And they've already told us that I can now go home and just continue my medications. However, I can't go out of the hospital since I got unpaid bills.

My running bill is P 409,972.70 (July 24, 2019). I am just an irregular employee at the Mandaluyong Cockpit Arena. As an irregular employee I don't have such health service benefits (health insurance) that a regular employee can avail. In addition, I am only getting small amount of money from this work of mine, that's why I didn't have the chance to save for incidents like this.

I am now desperately asking for your kind support with my fight against cancer.
