Hello friends,
this fundraiser is not for me personally, but for my dear friend Harper to be able to eat and sleep in a safe and warm place.
I have known Harper for around five years now. Harper is an incredibly kind and loving person, who sadly has been maltreated in a number of ways throughout her life. Kicked out of her childhood home at the age of 18, she has been struggling through adulthood by various odd jobs, temporary homes and people who haven't had her best interest in mind.
Roughly a year ago Harper lost her R.V., her chickens, her cat and her guinea pig when her abusive (now ex) husband left her. Currently Harper lives in a garage that already is too cold. She makes less than $600 per month, making it hard for her to even afford food. To top that, she has celiac disease, meaning she can't eat just anything since she will get sick if she does. She also needs to feed and be able to care for her beloved emotional support animal, a stumpy tail austrailan cattle dog named Kurt Mushroom the Dog (Mushroom for short). Mushroom is basically what is keeping Harper going.
Harper also has other medical and social issues, making everyday life even harder for her. Harper has anxiety and depression, PTSD, chronic fatigue, conversion disorder and is on the autism spectrum. She is also retransitioning, making her in need of safe hormonal treatment that she can't access or afford at the moment.
Things the funds will be used for:
- Food fit for Harpers stomach and doggo food for Mushroom
- Medical aid, both human and veterinary
- Possibly a van to live in, or for fixing Harpers truck to be road legal and driveable
If you can spare a little money for this lovely human being, it would mean the world. Not only to Harper and Mushroom, but to me as well. Even if the goal isn't met, Harper and Mushroom could eat proper food and perhaps even get a van to live and drive to work in. Just knowing they could fill their bellies and sleep in a safe and warm space would mean the world to me. If I could house and feed them I would, but it just so happens that I live in Sweden, far away from Harper's current location in Colorado.
I will off course help as much as I can, as well as managing this gofundme for Harper, since she is too worn to even ask for help right now.
