Yasir’s Family

Our beloved Uncle, brother, father, and husband Yasir Elsayed Ramadan has unexpectedly passed away in his home on February 18th, 2019 at the too soon age of 46. He was the heart and soul of so many people both here and in Egypt. He made everyone laugh—he was always the comedian of the room. It would feel as if you knew him your whole life. He had a gift with people—making them laugh even when it felt impossible to. You would laugh until it hurt. If you had the pleasure of interacting with him, you knew the extraordinary kind of person he was, and how he effortlessly delivered joy & companionship to you. He was extravagant, kind and tender. He never made anyone upset or disappointed. He made sure every person around him would be happy, and always took care of those in need. Yasir regularly helped his local orphanage and fed those who were often forgotten about. His heart was so big and full of love.

Yasir was an incredible father to 4 beautiful kids aged 17, 7, 5 and 2. He was a devoted husband. He lived to provide for them. He worked tirelessly to make sure his family was secure and never in need of anything. Unfortunately, in Egypt, the government has an entirely unjust system. They have frozen his bank account and assets after his death only to release funds to his children in increments when they are “of age”...if at all. This system leaves his children and spouse without the financial support and rights that he built his whole life to provide for them. We are asking for your support in raising funds required to ease the burden of the children’s tuition for school and basic living in the meantime of having the family recover from such a large and unexpected loss. Help us give back to someone who devoted his life to giving to others, no matter how small the amount. Our beloved Yasir, may you Rest In Peace in Heaven.
