Had a reet ol’ blast at Hull Summer School 2018. Missing it already! Great to hit some shuttles again and get chance to do some solid training. Highlights = the sound that nerf missile made, the reformation of The Wall and 3V3 diving. No blood on the courts this year either, so bonus! Day 10: Nice to be back on a sunbed relaxing after gym and catching up on sleep! Swimming, reading The Many Coloured Land and tennis in extremely windy conditions. Day 9(last trip): Out in the car to Lindos; where we drove through some tight spots, let the cats lead the way through the villas and shops(also donkeys), made it to the top and looked around the Acropolis. As promised, I got a pic of Cal genuinely smiling! Went around some shops, then stopped at a beach on the way back. Day 8(part deux): A long drive to a beautiful butterfly forest. Regrettably we didn’t have very long to go around it - perhaps a reason to return one year. Family feast at the American restaurant, celebration of the voice show, table tennis and uno. Spent some time at the beach in the early hours with my thoughts and the starlit sky. Day 8(part 1): It’s good to keep away from technology and enjoy the simplicities of life and see some sights. Day 7(family road trip #1): Hit the gym and chilled by the pool in the morning. First stop was at the point where two seas meet; where people were wind surfing. Stopped at Turtle Beach and took some big bumps from the viscous waves lol. Last stop was by far the best; we climbed up to the top of Monolithos Castle and was gifted with a wonderful view. Oh, and my sister nearly broke my neck on the roof of the van on the way home driving over bumps at 80mph! Day 6(trips are coming): an exceptionally early start, worth it for the sunrise, and a lot of travelling hours.
