Part two today was equally exciting. Things are moving beautifully at our Co-op project Showcased in this video, is our creative process as we work with our talented team to hand manipulate the exact combination for our glass mosaic tile for a featured area in the kitchen backsplash. The next photos depict us hard at work laying out the exact bathroom floor design, the bathroom shower feature wall done in a glass herringbone design and the ceramic half walls. We could be happier with the progress! Next week is a big one; stay tuned! Friyayyyyyyy!!!

Today was so rewarding and engaging! We were invited to speak to the Advanced Business Practices Class at the Metropolitan Institute of Design. Anthony Maceli, President of MID, both mentor and colleague, asked us to lead an in-depth discussion and Q&A on our inspiration, business protocols, project management strategies of our interior design company. Sharing our journey, experiences and insights to this group of professionals was very rewarding and provided us with much personal reflection and gratitude. For nearly 40 years, the Metropolitan Institute of Design @metropolitaninstituteofdesign has served as the only institution on Long Island dedicated to the advancement of Interior Design through education, professional development and outreach. Advanced program studies are recognized by the American Society of Interior Design (ASID). We appreciate this opportunity and hope to do so again in the near future! #interiordesign #interiordesigner #interiordesignschool #leadership #sharing #insight #presentation #partners #intern #guestspeakers #homestaging #metropolitaininstituteoffdesign #levaviscontidesigns #gratitude #goingstrong thanks @marystriano for the shoe!! Ahh the color selection process....it can be an overwhelming task for most because there are soooo many colors and hues to choose from. We love this step because every space and project has its own energy. One of the most important things to consider is lighting!! Natural light which enters a space through windows, skylights (fenestration) and doors has a tremendous impact on your selection. In general, light neutrals impart a relaxed feeling and can open up a room. Bold hues add energy, while earthy colors can feel protective. Also, consider that colors change as the natural light and lighting sources like lamps and overhead lights in our homes change throughout the day. What you see in the evening may be different from what you see in the height of the day or in the morning light, so make sure you love the color at all hours before you paint. To test this, purchase a sample of the color and paint large swatch on a wall to see how the light affects it over the course of a day. For a current project, we’re inclined to walls in fresh, natural-looking colors, particularly in shades of blue and pale gray. These colors not only make a home feel larger, but also are neutral enough to help future buyers envision themselves living in the space. We suggest using more light blue in kitchens and bathrooms because both colors complement white countertops and cabinets, a growing trend in both rooms. #interiordesign #interiordesigner #paint #paintselection #benjaminmoore #benjaminmoorepaint #color #colorselection #tips #howwedoit

We LOVE the creative process.....here’s a peek at the finishes for our current Whitestone Condo project. Our inspiration was drawn from the most incredible views of the Long Island Sound and Throgs Bridge. We’ve selected a Coastal vibe incorporating a natural and textural palate of blues, grays and white throughout the space. This home will provide a sanctuary to unwind and relax in amidst the New York skyline! #interiordesign #interiordesigner #stone #quartz #marble #porcelain #texture #finishes #creativeprocess #design #coastal #blue #gray #white #texture #inspiration

Happy Spring!! 🌸💐That means we’ll be spending more time outdoors doing the things we love. We’re often asked how to make the most out of our your deck or backyard; creating the perfect retreat and using the proper outdoor furniture is a must! Small space sets, like bistro sets, are designed for balconies or little porches, condos townhomes or city dwellings. For larger spaces, consider dining sets or conversation sets. Dining sets can fit all your family & friends for the ultimate picnic or dinner party! To make a space more cozy and defined, consider a gazebo or pergola. It can shelter your guests from the elements, like rain & sun and provide the perfect architectural focal point for your home and showcase your plants and flowers. Patio furniture and fire pits have come a long way in recent years, making it easy to create a true living room outside. And don’t forget to add festoon lighting; they add just the perfect layer of ambient light and whimsy. Finally, a fantastic area rug, pillows and some carefully selected accessories make the space personalized, warm and inviting. All you need now are some friends and a corkscrew! Enjoy!!! #askushow #interiordesign interiordesign #gardensesign #patio #spring #outdoorliving #outdoorlivingspace #lighting #designer #bistro #lounge #garden #gazebo #pergola #arearug #architecturalelements
