THE SUNNY ON SUNDAY CONCERT
“King” Sunny Adé (born Sunday Adeniyi, 22 September 1946) is a Nigerian musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and a pioneer of modern world music. He has been classed as one of the most influential musicians of all time. He was also two time GRAMMY AWARD NOMINEE and featured in Hollywood Music.
The Sunny on Sunday Concert was to mark the 70th birthday of the legend, and also had top dignitaries in Nigeria. The concert had feature some of the rising stars like NINIOLA, TERRY APALA and the likes and had performances from the stars in Nigeria music industry like ONYEKA ONWENU, SIR SHINA PETERS, DAREY ART ALADE, TIWA SAVAGE, OMAWUNMI and the rest.
The Concert was SOLD OUT, with having the likes of ALIKO DANGOTE, FEMI OTEDOLA, LAI MOHAMMED, TUNDE FASHOLA, OBA SAHEED ELEGUISHI,
DON JAZZY, PETER OF PSQUARE, TEE A, FUNKE AKINDELE JENIFA and the rest.
