ME
Massimo was born in the hairdressing industry, curious about the conversations between his grandfather and Dad regarding hair, his path was written in a little town near the beautiful Venice.
A third generation hairdresser that learned the traditional craft of hairdressing ,from the last 28 years ,styling, coloring and cutting is the daily routine.
He opened his first salon in Italy at 22, and another one followed few years later, and this opened the door for him to work on various projects with brands such as Paul Mitchel where he had his first experience on stage assisting at the Cosmoprof in bologna on stage in 1996.
Following his father steps, he joined then Framesi and became part of a your stylist project called Hair revolution, making collections of haircuts ,colors and styles to educate and present on stages around Italy.
During this experiences he had a chance to work in the lab to test colors and various products performances, and this led him to have an all-around overview of the hairdressing world , on how to mix creativity and products.
His work is been featured in magazine such Vogue, Harpers bazar, Official, In Style and many more, and very often called to work on look books shoots for various designers.
Ready to challenge himself once again in 2006 he decided to leave Italy and moved to Sydney Australia to see the world from a different angle.
The experience was crucial for his career , in few years he escalate from creative director in a prestigious salon in the Rose Bay area to director of a new concept salon in Queen Street Woollahra.
The KEVIN.MURPHY era started in 2010 when after walking out from a class he decided that he wanted to work with the brand as an educator, and almost 10 years later he is currently working as a SESSION.MASTER ,inspiring ,educating and creating all over the globe.
In 2016 he’s been nominated as one of the finalist of the Australian Film Award, with a movie clip directed by Joshua Fitoussi.
Nowadays his area of expertise are working on fashion weeks, dealing with the designers and stylist to create the best hairstyle to compliment the collection, presenting on a stage the latest trends and showcasing his latest hair creations directly from the fashion weeks , spreading his knowledge about hair in educational classes around the world in the aim of transferring the art traditional hairdressing mixed with contemporary style.
In 2017 he directed more than 90 shows across Europe.

When he is not doing hair Massimo’s passions are playing beach volley , a sport that he is been playing since he had memories, and he often said that If he was taller he would’ve consider a career as a professional player.
As Italian he was always fascinated about food and he loves cooking Italian food , but if you ask him his favorite food he would tell you Thai or Japanese.
Something very unusual for an Italian is that he doesn’t really like soccer and he doesn’t drink coffee at all, but in the other hand he love his pizza!
Massimo never forgets his roots and he currently live in a countryside around Treviso, and if you hear a laugh it might be him.

I love my work and most of it I love the creative part, when I talk to the designer or the stylist and develop and create new hairstyles that will complement the collection or the shoot.
