      An absolute must visit.

      1. Hart was founded by an ex-Tartine and ex-Noma baker so I was excited to see the things they had to offer. We ordered a range of items and left so satisfied.
      2. We tried the cardamom croissant, spandauer, pandan coconut financier, yuzu hazelnut financier, passionfruit cake, and sesame cookie and they were all fantastic. Our favorites were the cardamom croissant, passionfruit cake, and sesame cookie. The cardamom croissant in particular is just wow. It's like a collaboration between a croissant, monkey bread, and a cardamom bun.
      3. I love their variety and flavor choices, and everything is baked so well. Someone wrote in their review that they'd move to Copenhagen for this bakery, and honestly I would too.

      One of the best bites of food I had in HK.

      1. Bakehouse's sourdough egg tart is so special.
      2. It has a sourdough laminated crust! This is the first egg tart I've seen made with sourdough and it made my SF heart so happy. The filling left me speechless. It's smooth, custardy, rich and might I say, not too sweet.
      3. This egg tart is comparable to pastel de nata. The top is slightly bruleed so it adds caramelized flavor and the shell is crispy and buttery.
      4. It's the best egg tart I've tried and I can't recommend it enough.

      One my favorite neighborhood spots.

      1. I'm truly spoiled to be within walking distance from one of my favorite neighborhood spots.
      2. Our usual order is the salsiccia pie and a pasta, usually the rigatoncini al bolognese classico or the chitarra alla cacio e pepe.
      3. The salsiccia pie paired with the calabrian chili salsa verde is truly a match made in heaven. The salsa verde is so so good that we sometimes ask for a second serving. The pie crust is so good - chewy and crisp with a perfect char.
      4. Their pastas are perfect in taste, texture, and for sharing. I especially love the shape of the rigatoncini and the way it holds the bolognese sauce.
      5. One of their more special dishes is their pan roasted 1/2 chicken. If you see it on the menu, you have to get it. It's so flavorful and succulent.
      6. Lastly, their guittard chocolate budino is to die for. So creamy and rich, and topped with flaky salt and toasted hazelnuts - perfection!

      La Taqueria is recommended often, and for good reason.

      1. When I saw this place on Google Maps, I was confused bc this place shares the same name as one of my favorite spots back home in SF. They offer a different menu but are just as tasty.
      2. We were craving burritos but opted for tacos and quesadillas so we could try multiple meats, including carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, al pastor, and camarones. We initially ordered 2 tacos and 2 quesadillas (on the smaller side) but everything was so good, we couldn't not order a round 2.
      3. Prices here are a bit high, but it was worth it especially since we haven't had tacos and quesadillas in awhile.
      4. Highly recommend!

      So good we ate here twice during our trip.

      1. The rice paper rolls here are so yummy!! And they have so many flavors/fillings to choose from.
      2. Between our two visits, we've tried the peking duck, minced chicken, and beef meatloaf rolls. All of which taste super fresh and flavorful. Our favorite was the peking duck. The pineapple inside is the cherry on top.
      3. I also have to comment on their take out packaging. The rolls come in a box and are separated by a sheet of parchment so they don't stick to each other. Each roll has its own sauce pairing, which comes in a cute little container. Really thoughtful imo.
