2014 IBJJF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

On Jan 26th, 2014 I participated on the IBJJF European Championship, losing on quarter finals against Bruno Ferreira Cuppari, the Medium Heavy Champion on that same competition. I enjoyed the fight against Cuppari, and lost only by two points after being swept by him. Here is the video of the fight:

BROWN BELT PROMOTION

On October 8th, 2013, I got promoted to brown belt by Jeff Kunze, a Rigan Machado black belt.

Because of my circumstances, living in two different countries at the same time (Spain and USA), and because of the competition efforts that I do, I haven't had one school alone that I assist to (Currently in Spain I assist to Mathias Ribeiro Team only). Jeff Kunze promoted me, but John Carlquist, a Pedro Sauer black belt, signed my application for brown belt IBJJF card. I'm so grateful to them both. I've been lucky enough to have them both as professors, and gather knowledge from both of them! Here is the video from my promotion:

IBJJF MASTER'S WORLDS 2013

I haven't been updating my blog for a while now, but I recently got promoted to black belt in Judo (April 2013) and brown belt in BJJ (October 2013). I also competed on the 2013 Master's Worlds for the IBJJF and took 3rd place in both my division and Open class. I still don't have any of the videos, but I'll try to remember and post them once I get them. Thanks for all the support, and remember that sponsors are welcome!

NAGA UTAH 2012

I competed on the Naga Utah 2012 Championship, on purple under 175lbs adult division. Got 3rd place. Not too happy, but at least I was satisfied with my last match for 3rd place, here it is:

I FIGHT FOR MY KING

USFBJJ Western Championship

I got to compete today at the USFBJJ Western Championship 2012 organized by bjj master Joe Moreira. I took 3rd place; lost on semifinals with Brian Morizi from "Atos San Diego Team" with Andre Galvao. So I thought you might at least enjoy the last match, where I took 3rd place.
