Help Dave Fight Lymphoma !

As difficult as it is to do, I am asking for financial HELP! My son David is in a dual battle. After months of back pain, he lost feeling in his leg, an MRI showed a large mass crushing his spinal nerves. Emergency spinal surgery by a neurosurgical team relieved the pressure, but found cancerous masses all along the spine. They fused his spine L2 through S1 – permanently altering most of his spine by inserting Titanium rods, brackets and screws to support his failing spinal bones. After an agonizing wait, he was informed that he had Aggressive B Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The Oncology team wanted to start his Chemo ASAP as it had reached Stage 4 and the replication rate was about 1.7 times faster than they were used to seeing. The neurosurgeons were concerned with his spine and healing from the surgery. They compromised and after 10 days his chemo started. His first hospital stay was 17 days. He will soon be starting the second round of four of his dose dense chemo. Dave will be in a custom back brace for 4-6 months, he is undergoing physical and occupational therapy. Dave also is undergoing intense chemotherapy for months to come. He has tremendous teams working to rid him of the cancer and to restore full functionality to his spine. Dave is a fighter, a 26 week preemie 27 yrs. ago, he overcame, multiple roadblocks and setbacks, necrosis of his intestines, collapsed lungs, grade 4 brain bleed, etc. He was born a fighter and has lived his life since enjoying an active lifestyle full of sports, friends, his love for music and DJ’ing – doing all the things he was told he would never accomplish. His hard work ethic lead him to physically taxing employment making a mere $11 an hour, while also paying for his own health insurance. The coverage is far from meeting the bills rolling in from the surgery, the daily Cancer Center trips, the hospitalizations, drugs, supplies, home nurse and on and on. There comes a time when even the proudest, truly hard working and striving to be self-sufficient among us need to admit we need help.
