WEGrow Community C.S.A Garden Application
“Grow With Us”

WEGrow Community is a community supported agriculture (C.S.A) movement that not only grows food, but also relationships and neighborhoods while encouraging self-sustainability, pride, self-worth and positively influencing property value. Our mission is to inspire and encourage communities to practice self-sustainability methods through agriculture and bartering.

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM

We are recruiting residents in the East Point, College Park, and the West End community to participate in the C.S.A. by creating at least one 4ft x 8ft plot of land to grow produce in exchange for a weekly voucher for bag of produce at local WEGROW Community's farmer's market.
• Applications to the program will be accepted between October 1, 2018 through March 1, 2019. Only 20 Applications will be accepted in the pilot program.
• Plot preparation and seedlings planting will be conducted March through May.
Assistance in preparing garden beds is encouraged.

SELF SUSTAINABLE MEMBERSHIP Includes:

*At least one 4x8 garden plot
*Composted soil for ultimate nutrition
*Organic Soil Amendments
*Seeds and Transplants
*Mulch
** Investment costs:
      - Free to Community (Love donations and/or bartering of products or services may be accepted.)

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

If you or someone you know is interested in having a garden built, but are not located within the East Point, College Park, and West End communities, but are located 30 minutes (max) outside of these areas, you may be eligible for garden consultation, design, layout , and tool rental. This service includes knowledge and tools for you to build your own garden!.

Program includes:
*Organic composted soil
*Transporation/gas coverage for each visit by Farm Manager to location (cost depends on distance)
**Please note love donations and/or barterning of products or services for Farm Manager's labor are accepted.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE

To be eligible for program scholarship, member must agree to assist with building beds connected to CSA program, volunteer at WE Grow Community's Farmer's Market, and Assist in produce harvesting in Peek seasons

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
1. Proof of land ownership or consent from rental lease property management
2. Request to have your utility lines marked by calling 811
3. Completion of Program Survey
4. Minimum contribution of at least one 4’x 8’ garden plot
5. Commitment to keeping at least one 4’x8’ garden plot maintained/irrigated
6.  Minimum three (3) year commitment to program or until the end of rental lease
7. Provide Farm Manager access to garden plot during normal business hours of 9am – 5pm (including weekends) throughout growing season
8. Provide approval for Farm Manager to provide garden plot maintenance via tillage, adding composted horse manure and wood shavings, and covering soil with cardboard until planting of summer crops
