Join Danielle Murray for a 30 Hour intensive designed to integrate you into the sequences of ashtanga rocket vinyasa yoga. This student and teacher intensive will provide you the tools to practice independently and continually modify the practice in order to remain in alignment. To remain in alignment we are required to engage in the present moment. The alignment that we are speaking of is so much more than postures or transitions; This alignment is a process of learning to engage with your experiences as they are unfolding without labels or judgements. These practices and the repetitive nature of the sequences allow the practitioner to gain a deeper awareness of their boundaries through familiarity and develop sensitivity to shifts, resistance, and fluctuations over time.

To know where we are now, why, and where we are going, we must first discover where we have been. This training/student Intensive will focus first on breaking down in detail the foundations and roots of the practice; Ashtanga Yoga. We will dissect both the primary and secondary series so that we may better understand the intentions, philosophy and sequencing. The training will help you develop a relationship with the 3 rocket sequences. Learning about the teachers who modified these series, their intentions, and how they remixed the system of ashtanga vinyasa. Each of these practices will be challenging for the student and teacher but are always shared in a way that encourages accessibility. Finally combining what we have learned about The ROOTS we REFLECT.

This will be a fun and exciting weekend led by Danielle Murray (E-RYT 500, YACEP, RCYT) assisted by Leah Liew (RYT 500) & Guest Instructor Mat Langford. We will break down the primary and second series of Ashtanga Yoga in depth as well as Rocket 1 and Rocket 2 & 3, which are based upon set sequence methods. Learn how to create new sequences and approaches based on the Ashtanga and Evolved Sequences to build intelligent, balanced flow sequences. You will also receive a manual containing course material and sequences to aid you in your personal practice and/or teaching evolution.
