Join us in celebration of the bounty of the agricultural-rich foothills of Placer County. From the fertile rice fields of Lincoln to the higher elevation farms tucked into the hillsides of Colfax, we are always reminded of our fortune of living in what was once known as the original "Fruit basket of America". Many farms within our county remain small but produce some of the highest quality produce, grown with attention to preservation of the land's natural resources. You can find many of the farmers themselves vending at the local area farmers markets or selling directly to local chefs.
Throughout the last several years, local breweries have made an appearance in our county. The growers have taken advantage of the same benefits of the rich soil, resulting in production of many award winning craft beers.
With all of the high quality ingredients available to our local chefs, dining in Placer County has become a destination to many both within our area and beyond. Chefs all throughout the area have begun to seek out produce grown in Placer County. This relationship has contributed to the success and sustainability of farming in the foothills.
This multi course dinner will be a collaboration of farmers, brewers and chefs. Guests will be seated in one of Placer Counties oldest orchards, Twin Peaks Orchards. You will have on opportunity to engage in conversation and get to know one of the farmers responsible for growing the food the chefs have so carefully crafted. Brewers will be pouring their craft beer to enjoy with your meal.
A portion of your ticket price will include a donation to Placer Grown, a non profit organization involved in the support and promotion of local producers as well as a portion of the price going towards a sponsorship of the farmer at your table.
