Indie rock band the Memories were formed in Portland, Oregon in 2010 by childhood friends Rikky Gage and Kyle Handley, both of the punk-thrash group White Fang. Their ramshackle, lo-fi spontaneity and simple stoner pop melodies were captured on their self-titled debut released on cassette by their own label, Gnar Records, in early 2011. They soon attracted the attention of garage/punk/psych label Burger Records, which reissued their debut and would go on to champion the group, releasing several more cassettes and an LP over the next few years.
Brother Toaster is the music of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sean Galbraith. The music combines elements of slacker rock, psych rock, and jangle pop. Despite beginning its life as strictly a recording project, the act has also grown to include live band performances that offer a unique and energetic take on all the songs. Brother Toaster's fourth and most ambitious release, entitled "Chucky" was released April 20th, 2018. Brother Toaster is playing shows in support of the record across the Northeastern USA.
