The Porsche 365, the car that started the Porsche success. The Ferry Porsche designed 365 was based on the VW Beetle. It was built from 1948 to 1965. It was a small sportscar with an aircooled boxer engine. The car was the first mass product for Porsche. It became a huge succes, until the production stopped when the successor the '911' was born.
The model we're looking at today is made by French model manufacturer, Solido. Solido makes the 365 PRE-A in two variants, this grey one and a Pananmerica Eva Perron version. Both feature working steering and opening doors. Models retail at €44,95.-, are they worth the price?
Seeing the model in it's full glory. Overall shape is perfect, shutlines are decent. Paint has a nice shine to it. Chrome parts are nice, clear parts are scratch free. First impressions are great.
As always, we're strarting off at the front. Headlights and indicators are surrounded by a little chrome edge, covered by clear plastic. The plastic isn't flat but has some depth to it, for added realism. The front logo is a printed on decal, which is acceptable at this price point. As this front compartiment is closed, it has a nice deep and painted shut line.
Moving to the side we can immediately see we have a Porsche in front of us. The destinctive line, long hood, short rear-end. No details are missed by Solido, from the little antenna till the little 'cap' next to the rear wheel. The windows are covered by a little silver outline, neat little detail. Solido has even thought of a little keyhole on the door handle. As far as the wheels go, there isn't too much to say about them, other then that they look good. I would've liked to see a diffrent tyre, maybe a softer more rubberized one.

Next up is the rear. Again very good detail for this price. Lights, again covered by plastic and surrounded by a chrome piece. Bumper is the same style, so well done. The rear also has a printed on emblem. The rear also features a license plate, with above it a nice reverse light on top of it. Things the BBR one don't have, well done Solido. Something that could've been more realistic are the exhausts, they are to plastic looking, on the flip side it does have a nice blacked out inside. On top of the enigne cover is a nice grill, as to be excpected not preforated, but it has some nice depth to it.
Last but not least, the interior. I must give thumbs up to Solido for giving this car windows, unlike other budget brands... uhm Bburago and Maisto... The door cards have little detail to it, but the big parts are there. Another thumbs up for Solido for giving this model colours, instead of just plain black... uhm Bburago and Maisto... All details are there, from little grey buttons to the gages. I really like the steering wheel, with the 3-tone colours. The pedals could've been better, they just needed a little lick of grey paint.
That's it for this one. Solido did a real good job on this model. From the paint to the interior. Offcourse this still is a budget model, but for a budget model it is worth every single cent. Solido have done the best they can, and that makes this an amazing model.
This model get's an 8/10, and all because of it's great price quality ratio.
