Out and about in Australia

Alex and I were looking at other options of where to go after Indonesia. After I’d been in Asia for what felt like a lifetime, this felt like the best option.

I must admit, Australia was never really on my radar. I didn’t get the hype and it hadn’t been on my ‘must visit’ list.

How wrong was I?

I loved it. We had 3 weeks there in total.

I guess its the outdoor lifestyle that won it for me here. Even in the cities, people we out running, cycling and eating picnics. Towards the suburbs it was the same but every other car had a surf board or kayak strapped to the roof.

I must admit this makes me jealous. At home in England this can be done but with the right gear and battling against the weather.

I won’t blab on with a full itinerary, I just wanted to share with you a few things that got me out and about in Australia;

Sup-ing around St Kilda, Melbourne

Kayaking in Aspendale, Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne

Kayaking in the Noosa River, Noosa, Sunshine Coast

Sup-ing in Cotton Tree, Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast

Creek jumping in Cedar Creek, Samford, Brisbane

Exploring Fraser Island, Queensland

I felt very much at home here and I left feeling that there was a lot more to explore!

Until next time Australia, Ness x
