Heavy rain will soak parts of northern Florida and southern Georgia into Monday as a weak area of low pressure lingers over the region.
Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates of an inch or more per hour at times, so localized flooding is possible, especially in urban and poor-drainage locations.
More than 28 inches of rain fell from Thursday into Saturday near Steinhatchee, Florida, leading county officials to declare a local state of emergency.
The heaviest additional rain through Monday will be along Florida's northern Gulf Coast and southwestern Georgia, where widespread totals of 1 to 3 inches (locally, 3 to 6 inches) are possible.
A flood watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Big Bend of Florida into Monday morning.
