Hava-Heart for Roscoe the Havanese

Good Evening to all,
I do apologize that this has taken so long to write, but I'm sure you can all understand.
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we must tell you that Roscoe passed on to Doggie Heaven, Tuesday the 30th of July.
After the surgeries Thursday, he seemed to be doing well and lit up Monday evening when I came home from work, but very quickly started to go down hill through Monday night. Earlier Tuesday AM, poor Roscoe got sick and would just sit and almost rock back and forth.
Dawn took him back to the doctor's that morning. After a change in medication, she brought him home only to notice Roscoe seemed to be having trouble breathing. She called me while she was with the vet a second time and after talking with the vet, I told Dawn that I was on my way.
It seemed that he had become septic and possibly had a small hole in an intestine. While he was having more tests and xrays, the vet brought Roscoe to us and the report from his chest tumor. They were not able to completely get out the cancer due to the cancer growing deep inside his chest wall. With this and the septic surgery, we just could not put him through all of these additional surgeries.
Roscoe looked at Dawn and I with such a tired look in his eyes that we decided that for Roscoe's sake we had the vet put Roscoe to sleep.
We will be picking him up tomorrow to bring him home for good. He will always be with us in our hearts and in those that he touched.
Thank-you all for your prayers, more than generous donations, and love that has been passed on to Dawn and I through this difficult time. While the bills continue to come, please know that you have helped us give Roscoe the best life we could, and for that we will never be able to thank-you. We pray that you and yours will have a long and loving life together.
