Rabies Bill

I never make a gofundme to help myself- it is ALWAYS to help my animals and only when a sudden surgery or bill way exceeds my means. However, I am caught off guard with this one and am humbly asking for some help. This past February a rabid raccoon attacked my now deceased golden doodle Phil. He was the best dog ever and only wanted to love you. The raccoon would not let go of his face and my mom and I helped rescue Phil from the raccoon. Due to our contact with helping him animal control told us to go to the emergency room ASAP for rabies shots. There was a series of 4 visits and 7 painful shots in total. Thank god I have insurance or else the shots would have totaled $21,730.58 !!!! My insurance covered most and I have already paid my first bill of $400 but now I have been sent another 3 bills totaling $4891.16. We have had quite the year at the vet and this time I need help myself. Idk why it feels embarrassing asking for myself and not my pets but if you never ask you never know- so I am asking for some help. I am grateful to have had health insurance and the ability to even get the rabies shots- there is NO CURE for rabies. It is deadly and I did what I needed to do to save my life but this is insanity to me right now and severely putting me in the hole. Anything helps. THANK YOU!
