Save Redding's Morning Program

Tax deductible

Redding families love our morning ACE program, which gets students off to a good start each day. The program was recently cut and we're working hard to restore it and raise $3,500 towards the program costs.

We are a Tenderloin school known for being one of the most diverse and integrated schools in the district, with over 25 languages being spoken by our families, and a new Arabic language program being developed this year! (read below for more information about our school)

Morning ACE is especially important for working families in the Tenderloin who have to be at work early. Your donation will mean a lot to us - it means that Redding's families and students can get off to a good start each morning! Thank you for your support!

We're a great school, but we don't have an affluent PTA with the money to fund programs like at some schools, so we are asking the broader community for your help! Please help us raise $3,500 to support morning ACE and get our students off to a positive start.

More about Redding:

Our school is one of the kindest and most welcoming schools in the district. We cultivate leadership ladders for students who become conflict managers, reading buddies and otherwise mentor younger students. Our teachers are some of the most creative and experienced in the district, with an average of 7 years of experience or more.

Over 80% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch, 74% of our students are low income and 71% speak a language other than English at home. We have the 6th highest percentage of families in transition (homeless families) in the district, with 11.2% of our students in transition.

We serve about 245 students who are:
10% African American
1% Native American
26% Asian
6% Filipino
28% Hispanic or Latino
1% Pacific Islander
18% Arab/Middle Eastern
3% White (non-Hispanic)
3% Two or more racial/ethnic identities
4% Other/No Response
81.2% low income
50.6% English Language Learners
11.2% Families in Transition (Homeless)
7.5% Students with Disabilities
.4% Foster Youth

Translation is requested by 10 families in Vietnamese, 10 in Chinese, 40 in Arabic and 50 in Spanish.

Your donation will help us to reach our goal of raising $3,500 to restore our morning program to our school community so students will have a safe place and a good start to the day, while their grownups make it to work on time! We appreciate your support of our amazing school and families.
