Dumpling's Rising Medical Bills

On July 23rd, our amazing sweet boy Dumpling began having trouble breathing. We took him straight to our vet that could find no reason for the difficultly he was having. He was given an antibiotic and we were told to not let him eat anything. By the time I got home from work that evening, it was clear he was in distress. I immediately rushed him to Oradell Animal Hospital. Upon arrival, the veterinarians admitted Dumpling and began what would become days of examinations and test to try and determine the cause of Dumpling's illness.
At this point we are still uncertain what is causing all of his problems. He has had X rays, sonograms, electrocardiograms, consults with a neurologist, and two lung samples sent out for diagnosis. He will be there as long as it takes to get him stable again. He has been on oxygen for days now and can not even go outside to do his business because without the oxygen he can not breath.
Of course there is no expense to great to save my baby boy, but the high cost of emergency medical care has put me in a situation where I am asking for any help you can give. Today his medical bills are $5354.00 and are rising.
Dumpling came from an amazing rescue in Texas. He had lived in an highly abusive home before being listed on Craigslist, where a wonderful family took him in. It quickly became apparent Dumpling has severe trauma from the abuse he has been subjected to at his first home and his new home was not a suitable environment. This family found the rescue that would care for Dumpling for months before I found him. Once he was flown to us, we knew that he was special and would take a lot of patience to care for. Dumpling does not like children, he was afraid of his own shadow, you could not pet him without him wetting himself and he trusted no one. It has taken me over two years to show this amazing boy that I will not let him get hurt or let anyone else hurt him. He is the protector of his big (little) brother Fabio. They both have been featured on The Dodo and Sniff and Barkens bringing smiles to millions of people. They have an amazing following on Instagram (@thebalddumpling @Fabiothebalddog) where I have been keeping everyone updated daily on his status. Dumpling is a fighter! He has survived horrible abuse and Parvo, and came back stronger! I will not give up on this little boy!
I have made it my mission to provide a safe and loving home for all of my rescued animals. Fabio, Corduroy and Joey are heartbroken with the "man of the house" missing. These boys have taught me so much about myself and the rescue world. They are the reason I volunteer my time as a Foster for our local shelter, raise money for special needs pets and constantly attempt to place rescue animals across the country with loving forever homes. We have raised thousands of dollars for many charities in the last 3 years.
If you could find it in your heart to donate any amount of money towards this fighters care I will be forever grateful.
