Hello friends!!
I'm fundraising to travel to LA this summer and complete my senior year thesis research, collaborate with artists, and perform my music live. As some of you know, I'm in my third year of college and have created my own major around music production. I've grown a lot in the last year developing my unique sound of spacey chillhop, funk, and neo-soul. I've had the opportunity to share my music on Instagram, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, and connect to the hip hop community all over the world through my music. I have recently begun performing my works live, and am in love with how that feels. It's time to take the next step in my music journey.
It has long been a dream of mine to go to LA, where my idols are, where this type of music is alive and growing. If given the chance, I would use my time there to perform in as many venues as possible, meet the lovely people who follow my page, and talk face to face with the producers and artists I've connected with over social media.
I also want to use this time to do case study research for my senior year thesis, for which I'm studying the unique gendered experiences of active female producers in LA. I will be sitting down and interviewing 3 of them in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of womens' experiences in this industry; an industry I wish to pursue post-graduation. Successfully completing this research will allow me to write my thesis and ultimately graduate with a degree in Music Production, something that has never been done at my college before.
Your contribution would help me pay for food, rent, and ground transportation during my time in LA. Unfortunately, cost of living in LA is pretty high, but I will do what I can to cut costs and make the most of every dollar that was given to support this project.

As a first-generation college student, graduating from college with a major I created from scratch is a goal I hold very close to my heart. Music, the love of it and the creation of it, is integrated into everything I do, and I strongly believe music has the power to heal, unite, and motivate positive social change.
