Tijuana Shelter Outreach

In 2010 Haiti was devastated by an earthquake with a magnitude of over 7.1, and the results were heartbreaking and devastating. An estimated 316,000 lives were lost and over 1.5 million were displaced with nowhere to go. Lacking options and services, refugees fled Haiti for a chance at survival, crossing up to 10 countries to reach the United States border where they were ultimately denied. According to a 2017 report by the United Nations, even several years after the disasterous quake, 2.5 million Haitians are still in need of humanitarian aid.

Iglesia Embajadores de Jesús en El Canon Del Alacrán took in hundreds of these refugees upon their much publicized arrival in Tijuana years ago, and continues to service the population in addition to the incoming refugee population fleeing violence in Central America, and they do so with next to nothing. We are committed to helping this incredible organization, and are asking you to help make it happen!

They are constructing bathrooms to aid in hygiene and due to their remote location it is difficult to obtain medical services. To date over 100 residents live in these conditions without bathrooms and regular medical care, but with these upgrades we can bring them that and more, and increase the capacity in this wonderful shelter of humble heart. Please donate today to help refugees and their children like Baby Lynn!
