Studio TK Launches Clip Seating at NeoCon 2019

Studio TK today announced the launch of its Clip Seating Collection at showroom #1041 during NeoCon, June 10-12, at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago.
“We gave the chair a clip to not only give it an identity, but to also hold the fabric in place on the back, like a clip holding back hair,” said Ola Rune, lead designer on Clip project and one of Claesson Koivisto Rune’s principles. “There’s an angle change half way up the back that makes the chair quite difficult to upholster. When we came up with the clip idea, we quickly saw its strength. The clip projects a very strong image when viewing the chair from behind, which is how you see it when it rests around a table. The clip’s function actually becomes a very interesting feature for the chair.”
Designed by Swedish design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune for Studio TK, Clip offers customizable office seating that works well in a myriad of applications, from bustling startups to more established companies looking to update their interiors. Designed to be inviting and comfortable with craftsmanship in mind, Clip functions well in task, lounge and side chair applications and brings a sense of playfulness and warmth to the setting. Versatile in use, the chair is comfortable enough for lounging, and firm enough for the support needed throughout a workday. A rounded back and integrated armrests provide a comfortable framework for users to enjoy.
Clip is a highly configurable product. Four different base options include a four-leg metal base, four-leg wooden base, four-star return swivel base and a five-star caster base. Finish options range from 16 different powder-coat paint colors, polished aluminum components and five wood finishes. Paired with a variety of Luum Textiles or COM/COL, the potential for customization is huge.
