We're celebrating one of our youngest crew members, Isobel Tugwell, who has had her incredible achievements honoured with the prestigious Women in Search and Rescue (SAR) Award from International Maritime Rescue Federation - IMRF. Aged just 19, Isobel is on the crew for @shorehamlifeboat station's D-Class and Tamar Class lifeboats, responding to a variety of calls from broken down boats to people in trouble in the water. A third-generation crew member, Isobel has followed in the footsteps of her grandfather and father and you may even recognise her from last years #SavingLivesAtSea. And if that wasn't enough, Isobel recently began work as a Police Community Support Officer with Sussex Police. Her award celebrates her work as a role model for women and girls in maritime search and rescue. This year, we're giving our supporters a unique and special way to commemorate loved ones who will never be forgotten by adding their names to the side of a brand-new Shannon class lifeboat. We can now reveal that the #LaunchAMemory lifeboat will be stationed at Invergordon in Scotland, where the volunteers, pictured here by @lordlowe as part of his #LifeboatStationProject, have been saving lives for more than 40 years.
