I thought I’d update those that drive by our vineyard, since people are asking...
Yes, we are pulling out the Chardonnay. It has always been the most temperamental to Farm at this elevation, along with the age of the vines being 40 years old, the production is down. Yes, we have retired from wine making, but we have continued to farm and sell the fruit to other winemakers. Although, moving forward there will be fewer vines. (Minus the Chardonnay) Cheers!
2018 has come and gone. It was a year of change for us! Simplify was our word! We closed our winery and tasting room in May. A semi-retirement for us! We enjoyed a less hectic harvest and a slower pace in general. Life is good! Bring on 2019! 🥂
