Day 52: Redefine success.
How would you define success Finding happiness and making lots of money Getting that promotion or hitting your goal
But what if you don’t ever hit that goal Maybe you need to look at what you are doing on the way to the goal. Are you making progress Are you moving forward
Is it time to redefine success Consistency over time equals success. What are you doing consistently to bring you closer to your goals You’ll find joy and happiness in the process. And that will bring success!

Day 74 of #100dayproject2019
Does anybody remember those Sears commercials from the 90s with the slogan, “the softer side of Sears” Well this week we’re exploring the softer side of #daisyfaithart with these fresh and breezy coastal colors!
This one will be available Saturday at 10am on my website with the 2 others from this week. All paintings are $100 for 100 days. Direct message me your email address if you want me to send you a direct link with advance notice before the public. #coastaldecor #coastalhome #coastaldecorating

Paper pieces in progress for next week’s flash sale—I feel like Santa!!!!! #wip
This year I created a series of agricultural scenes I called #agasart for the #100dayproject based on multitemporal satellite imagery. Now the collection has a multimedia component! I made a stained glass interpretation of one of my favorite scenes from Goodland, Kansas.
Today I’m thinking about the difference between being kind vs. being nice. *UPDATE: apparently it’s World Kindness Day, so this was timely but unplanned.
I found a thought-provoking blog post about this: “Kind people can be assertive and set good limits. Nice people, on the other hand, bend over backward to be obliging. They deal with potential conflicts by placating the other person because they can't bear to have anyone upset with them.
Kind people have good self-esteem and because they love themselves as much as they care about others, they expect to be treated with respect. Nice people are desperate for approval, so they're often mistreated or taken advantage of.” Dr. Marcia Sirota @doctormarcia on huffingtonpost.ca

Day 27/100 This drawing is part of my 10th #100dayproject: this time I’m drawing a pattern and pairing it with a quote everyday for 100 days with the @procreate app. I want to focus on drawing the patterns so I decided to type out the words in Photoshop and add them as transparent png files to a layer in the Procreate app. Swipe left to watch a time lapse video of this drawing.
Printables available in my shop for some of my drawings: thehandcraftedstory.etsy.com.
