10 weeks and 1 day post op 💜 •
Who thought recovering would be this much fun I'm going to the gym 3 times a week, PT 2 times a week. I'm able to bycicle as much as I want without getting pain and walking is going better every day. AND IM ABLE TO WALK THE STAIRS LIKE A NORMAL PERSON wooooohooooo 🎡🎡🎡🎡party.
It feels like I'm fully recovered and i knoooooow i have a long way to go, but there's nothing holding me back ( #shawnmendes) and I'm able to move freely 💙 and do whatever I want #happygirl. I feel extremely lucky that everything is going so smooth, nobody expected it to go this quick. My PT said that the process would be much times slower if I wasn't this stubborn and determined 😇 •
I still wear my brace when I'm going out for a whole day, just to be sure. It provides stability and it just feels safer 😇 •

10 weeks post-op. Let’s talk about hair loss. It is a for real thing. I’ve noticed more and more hair in my brush and in the shower. I’ve looked and this Hair Skin and Nails is the best I’ve found with the highest biotin 5,000mcg. I’m starting it this morning.

10 weeks ago today I woke up in my hospital bed and needed help to stand up. Today I stayed a 10 minute mile. Definitely still have a long way to get back to where I was but it feels good to finally get to start! #10weekspostop #ileocecalresection #runningpostop
It will be much easier to dress in the Fall/Winter. Bring on the oversized sweaters and hoodies! Also, fleece-lined leggings are everything. I’m headed to my surgeon’s office for my 3rd and maybe my last follow-up appt. I decided Wednesday night that I was done with the wet-to-dry dressings on my wound. The part that wasn’t scarring was so small, I figured it’s ok. 🤷🏼♀️🤞🏻 I’ll be healed just in time for next surgery! 🙄 At least this one is supposed to be “minimally invasive” with just a 1 night hospital stay. I’m still waiting to hear if I’ve been accepted into the trial, but I do have a surgery date! I’ll share more about the trial as soon as I get word. 💙
10 weeks post surgery! Saw my Ortho doctor today and was told my bones look like they’re completely healed!!!! Woot woot!! Still no ‘strenuous’ activity for a few months, such as running, but things are looking up! Some pain on the top of foot/ankle (where the Talus bone is) stiff and doesn’t want to move as it is supposed to since my foot was at a 90 degree angle for a long period of time. Physical therapy twice a week will have me back to normal in no time! Scars are looking better each day, too. #trimalleolarfracture #brokenanklerecovery #10weekspostop #journeytorecovery #orif
#71dayspostop well dear #vsgfam today's weigh in was a success and I am officially over halfway to goal weight 🤗
I'm feeling good - I think it's important to say that because I am very vocal when I'm otherwise LOL. I'm feeling lots of other things too, proud, relieved, anxious, excited...scared
Everyday that goes past I learn, experience, feel something new and whilst it may not always be what I want, it is what I need to grow and be awesome.
. *High 5* Steeevie...we're doing alright. .
Side note: I did not go to the gym once this week after the Nexplanon fiasco...this week that excuse is old...time to get back on it
#10weekspostop #aclallmeniscussurgery PT was all different today. We combined the bridges & squishy balls. I had to balance on my involved leg for a minute, got more weight for TKE & Hamstring Curls, more time on the shuttle, and - finally - STEPS!!!
Exactly 72 days ago I had surgery to surgically reconstruct my torn ACL on my left knee. Although the injury took place in February, I knew the ramifications that this would have on my career. LIMDU is something I hoped to avoid, but, entering my 10th week I must say the recovery process has gone better than expected. Looking back on the first day, it hurt to just lift my knee just a tad and too see a new high I achieved today feels great. Here's to two more solid months of physical therapy 🤘🏽😎 #physicaltherapy #legpress #10weekspostop #aclrecovery
