This artwork was inspired by the guildlines of Sustainable development and the sunsets over the beach in my hometown. I wanted to incorporate recycled materials and paintings I didn't care for in order to make something new and I can honestly say this is my favorite framed painting so far.
It is a bit of an activist piece with the plastic soda six-pack melted into it. In elementary school the number one thing that was pounded into my brain was to cut these things up. They kill animals and birds so easily. They are almost completely transparent so as you can see it would be too easy for an animal to get caught up in. "Toxic Sunset No. 1"
