I am really happy to be home after almost 3 weeks in Mexico. But I really miss painting every day just for myself
Like this mother and daughter walking the pier at sunset. Such a gift - the time to just paint for the fun of it with no agenda. No goal.
Some new babies came in the mail today 🎨🌸🌿✨ I finally broke down and bought some art supplies that I have been curious about for quite some time. I bought a mixing set of Holbein Acryla Gouache. Acrylic gouache is something new to me and I have wanted to try it for a while! It was kind of tricky to find bigger sets of the Holbein acrylic gouache in America (except for on eBay which I don’t really trust) so I just settled for this mixing set for now. I also ordered the Arteza gouache set of 60! I’ve seen Arteza all over the internet but have never actually tried any of their products before. I am very curious as someone who mainly paints in gouache if they are good or not. I feel like it will push me more as an artist to experiment with different colors because they are now readily available to me! Colors that I wouldn’t normally think to mix or reach for. So I am very excited 💓✨ also I got this large 33 well Meeden art pallet from amazon and I can’t wait to fill it up! •
New art supplies always make me excited to create again. It’s like giving me an energy drink to keep going in a way. I feel like art school really killed my creativity always having to make artwork to other people’s standards and always having to meet deadlines. It turned art into a chore not a treat to me anymore. I feel like I am slowly recovering from it and learning to love the creative process again. I know it’s stupid and materialistic but getting new art supplies have been helping me get back into it in a way! Lol ok anyways mini rant over
Hope everyone’s having a good day! 💖

Comencé pintando un retrato de Dorothy Parker y se terminó convirtiendo en Audrey Hepburn con mis favoritos del mes. Eso pasa cuando pintas con Desayuno en Tiffany’s de fondo.
I started drawing a portrait of Dorothy Parker, and then she became Audrey Hepburn with my favorites of the month. That happens when you are painting with Breakfast at Tiffany’s as a background.

Annnnnnnnnnddddd I’m done. Had to keep this a secret for a while but it’s done and resined up. Worked slightly bigger and used a new medium this time around. The first time I resined this up, a single piece of glitter got stuck all the way at the bottom. One....piece...of glitter...... I had also just poured a thick layer of resin. Smh. Sanded it down and picked it out. 😐 Anyways, here are some progress shots from it beautifully dried, to all the awkward stages in between. Love you both @niraarin & @jeffreyjefferson 💗 Also, Happy late birthday to Jeff! You truly are one heck of a friend! #WoodPanel #Airbrush #AcrylaGouache #Resin
After all the whales and astronauts of course I had to use them as March’s theme.

Gouache has been my jam lately. I love the matte finish, and that it works reasonably well in my sketchbook. And these muted colors from Acryla are making me pretty happy. Thank you @erikafirm for pointing them out to me!
Any true crime/ serial killers podcast junkie here I've been obsessed with Parcast's Serial Killer series and cannot stop listening to it, so here's my take on a journal set up inspired by it.
It's really ironic since most people will be doing a love-themed set up for February because of Valentine's Day. Don't get me wrong, February is a really special month to me because this year we'll be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. But it is also my birthday month, and no better month to be tapping into my inner darkness~ Right
