Went out yesterday evening to take pictures of the full moon with @coznlinda and @pluto911 and soon realized that the clouds were rolling in and we might not see the moon. Our conversation quickly changed to talking about shooting the moon to photographing the sunset. We thought with the clouds the sunset could amazing. Well that did not happen either.
New blog post!! Can I just say that I loooove photographing fellow artists This session gave me life. 🙌🏽😍❤️ Plus I’m so happy for these two because they eloped in Montana!! And allowed me to photograph them when they came back. .
From a photography standpoint, we had quite a few different lighting scenarios within the span of two hours during this session! From bright and sunny light on the deck to moody and cloudy on the beach. I’m learning to allow myself to edit based on the light that was there, instead of editing just to make everything look consistent. Though I find consistency important in my work, I’m allowing myself more freedom in my editing to not obsessively fixate on making every lighting situation look the same when it wasn’t! Photogs - do you have this struggle I would love to hear your thoughts.

Candles or candy
Don't feel bad if you said "candles" but what you're actually looking at is a Georgian candy called "churchkhela" and when you walk by a stand filled with them, they're absolutely beautiful.
Any guesses what churchkela is made of Good luck, because I didn't have a clue.
Those are walnuts that have been threaded onto a string and then dipped in fruit juice. I confess that at first I didn't want to try them because I thought they'd be super sweet
But they're not! The flavor is actually quite mild, and the texture is much chewier than I expected. Don't ask me what happened to all of the sugar because I don't know.
All I know is that they're damned tasty!
And here's a fun fact for you: Georgian warriors used to carry this with them as they rode off to battle because churchkhelas provides quite a few calories!
