My Passion in life 👟
Ever since I was a little kid I had the rough school years as any kid would, I was lost in a world and I needed an outlet to let all the pent up energy go, I remember going to one Dance showcase in grade 9 to see my friends perform. And automatically, right then and there, I knew it’s what I wanted to do! Sooooo!! I enrolled for Dance in the 2nd semester. No lie.. I had 0 dance experience, and I was the only guy.. my anxiety was through the roof!! But as time went on I got more comfortable with being in a class that not every guy wants to be in. I got comments made saying “Only girls and gays dance”
Welp.... better shoot me! I was all in for what it had to offer me, development on new techniques on class, to choreography leaning and doing our own choreography.
Over the years in school i continued to take classes and joined the Dance teams. And Improv aswell. We did showcases each year that SOLD OUT!! With various styles of Dance, I’ve been exposed to new styles in the past year, from Afro Hip Hop, Grooving, House, Hip Hop classes all at @harbourdancecentre
Being apart of the LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 community also impacts my passion for dance, to express who I am as a person, and What my background as a dancer is, There’s a lot of hate towards LGBTQ communities and the individuals who go through the hard times of coming out, and this was sunlight in my darkest days whenever I’d get hate comments, even homophobic comments made right To my face. I held the tears as hard as I could, because in the end. We’re not friends.. your not gonna braid my hair.. or paint my nails.. they will end up being the assholes around the town that everyone know and hate for the hate crime towards a gay man.. and guess what, no one will feel sorry for those assholes. Especially me! Love is love in the end, you shouldn’t have to proove yourself to others, you owe them nothing. Except yourself to life a happy life 🏳️🌈 #danceratheart #lgbtq🌈 #hiphopdance #afrohiphopdance #vancouverbc #vanbc #igvancouver #tattoedandpierced #piercedandproud #dontletthenegativein #followyourdreams #hiphopdancer #danceismypassion #hightops #bullyingandviolencenoway #betruetoyourself
