Barn owl in flight digital study/light study from last night 🦉✨ SO pleased with how this turned out!!!! I put some time into digital studies that I only posted in my Insta stories over the past couple of days, and they were well worth it! Now that I can control the groups of brushes I like in #procreate I know how to achieve the finish I’d like to, and I’m no longer having to ‘fight’ with it 🥳 🎊❤️

Posted @withrepost • @annateresestone Failure is not a bad word✨
Is failure uncomfortable
Does failure suck when you’re inside of it.
Does failure mean your life is over and you will never achieve success or accomplishment
We hear the word failure and we cringe. We experience a setback that we see as failure, and we think we will never recover.
I challenge you to change your perspective. You know what actually happened when you failed You took a risk. You put yourself, your work, your heart on the line, and it didn’t go the way you wanted it to. But you did it.
We have to suck a little bit before we can be good. And we have to be good before we can be great. There is a learning curve— for [everyone]. When you experience a setback that you perceive as a failure. Take a breath, give yourself the time and space to process and heal. And then ask yourself a very important question-
Is this fail, this setback and challenge I am experiencing, is it worth what I’m working towards
Every dream and every goal we chase has its own level of struggle that comes along with it. But the real question is, is that struggle worth enduring to get to what’s on the other side of it
If this answer is yes. Amazing! Breathe, process, heal, and then pick yourself up, learn what you need to learn from that experience, and then keep going.
If the answer is no. Amazing! You have just been gifted a beautiful moment that is telling you that you will be more fulfilled if your focus is somewhere new. Listen to that, breathe, process, heal, and then pick yourself up and keep going.
Either way, you are now stronger, smarter, and beyond ready to take on whatever life brings next💛
What is the biggest thing you’ve learned from failure
