If you can’t go to the beach, bring the beach to you... just a little artistic piddling & I will say seascapes are my second favorite thing to paint after palette knife mountains☺️

EMDR is a highly effective treatment not just for adults but for children too! Of course it must be modified to be developmentally appropriate ( a.k.a. Fun!)- here’s a set up of a few things on the table to get ready for a session including the EMDR toolbox which includes ‘helpers’ ( puppets), brushes for bilateral tapping, markers for an art therapy intervention and lotion and containers to appeal to the senses for a ‘safe/ fun/ happy place’ resourcing intervention ( for grounding and calming). #emdr #emdrtherapy #emdrforkids #arttherapy #healing #healtogether #mft #therapyroom #wellness #traumatreatment
"Be gentle with yourself, your still growing." . . .
Still battling an issue with the air conditioner at my office so it is currently being utilized as my art "studio" instead of an art "shop"(until further notice). If anyone has interest in purchasing anything they have seen, feel free to DM me. I will take some better photos of my inventory soon. Thank you for your support and patience while I figure out my next move! (If you turn on sound you can hear the doves cooing in background. 😊)

Finally (99%) done! “This is only a test”
Multimedia Project- watercolor, acrylics, glitter, clay, felt with a wood frame.
Inspired by the lyrics in @whatismae’s song “The Overview”
Some day when we move and I get to pouring epoxy on it, she will be 100% done and I can hang it up at our new house ❤️ For now I’ll listen to the album a bunch and paint some more.

Slow stitching is hand sewing that involves using bits and pieces of fabric, ribbon, lace, buttons, trims and more (ideally upcycled or salvaged) to create fabulous pieces of fabric art (a bit like fabric collage if you like). The idea is to slow down. Breathe. Create.
Create whatever comes to mind. There are no rules. No right or wrong way. And the best bit It doesn’t have to be perfect! In fact, it’s even better if it isn’t. Imperfections add character! Try adding different textures and stitches.
So what do you do with your slow stitched pieces of art when they’re done Anything you like! Treat it as you would any piece of gorgeous fabric. Frame it. Quilt it. Turn it in to a bag, a brooch, a pin cushion. Or just pet it and admire it. Remember- there are no rules. Other than to slow down and enjoy the process that is!*******************************
*All Sew Salvaged kits are made using a combination of fabrics from a stash collected for many years including reclaimed and salvaged pieces. Each kit is unique and one of a kind and will contain a variety of type, colour, age and texture of fabric, all designed to help inspire your creativity! ***************************
