As some of you know, my husband and I put together a great team to start a company that will provide the best services possible for individuals under the autism spectrum. In order for Integrated Autism Therapies to be an in-network provider, a certain insurance company requires an audit first. I’m actually glad they do this! It’s a great way to ensure we are doing everything we can to meet the industry standards and that we are giving our clients the best service possible. We started this insurance process 9 months ago. Today is the day and the audit is finally here; and we passed!
To make sure each of our clients get individualized attention and the most out of our services, we have combined the efforts of some frustrated parents, a BCBA, a Occupational Therapist, a Speech Pathologist, The Listening Program (a research based neuroplasticity program), a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, a Functional Nutritionist, and a handful of MAPS Drs, Functional Medicine Doctors, and Integrated Medicine Practitioners. We are doing this to provide parents all the options necessary to increase their chances for the best possible outcome for their children. At IAT we encourage our clients to “Think Bigger and Aim Higher”. BTW, I love how our parents/guardian startup packets turned out.

One step closer! What have we gotten ourselves into This is by far harder than I ever imagined it would be. But there are kids and young adults out there who need service! (And families that need support). That is what keeps me fighting for this! We don’t want to be big. We just want to be the best! Shooting for quality integrated services over quantity. The goal is to integrate various therapies and services (occupational therapy, speech therapy, ABA therapy, music therapy, health coaching, clean and allergen friendly learning environment, social groups, and more) to meet more needs. We recognize there are several pillars involved in autism and behavior is only a manifestation of one of those pillars. We want to address as many of those pillars as we realistically can! We are about ready to kick off the start the beginning of phase 1. #asdservices #herewego #itsbeenacrazyridesofar #foracause #forautism #healthcoaching #functionalmedicinehealthcoach #thelisteningprogram #abatherapy #occupationaltherapy #speechtherapy #sensoryplay #thingsaregettingserious
Part of my work as an autism intervention coach and trainer is helping teams identify strategies and techniques to better understand, prevent and treat difficult behaviours that can be due to communication breakdowns, sensory difficulties, and regulation.
Well today was one of those days, I got a big bite on my shoulder and It hurts. Proud to say that we were able to help the child calm and we were able to have a wonderful session once we established what she needed and provided the proper strategies and positioning to help her engage.

Read like a preschool teacher. We tend to sit side-by-side to read or look at picture books. By sitting in front of each other, you can: -see what the child is looking at (what attracts his attention)
-encourage eye contact #asd #autism #asdservices #veroniquechiasson
Wether you are the Parent of à child or an interventionist, taking care of your self is so important. #challenges #asd #asdservices

Happy Friday! One last little thought for this weekend. People often say that it takes a special person to work or raise a child with special needs. I think its the opposite! I think we become special because we learn and grow so much from these little people. #quotes #asdservices #asd #veroniquechiasson #autism
We currently have spots available for parent and child coaching/consultation sessions. Our offices are in the East End and we aim to serve families in that area.
Parents always know their child best and are the most motivating person to teach their child, expand on their child’s communication strategies. Our parent training will teach parents additional techniques and strategies to apply with their child regularly at home and during daily routines. The parent coach will provide strategies, techniques and feedback in the areas of:
· behaviours (increasing appropriate behaviors and decreasing less appropriate or challenging behaviours)
· independence in daily routines
· play and social skills
The strategies and goals are individualized to support the needs and priorities of each family. Sessions are done either at the office, home or community and have both the parent(s) and child involved. The focus will be based on improving and expanding engagement, attention, compliance, comprehension as well as independence and play/social skills.
Our parent coaches are supervised by a psychologist as well as our certified ESDM trainer.
