I am a muscular girl. I train hard, eat well, work a lot, and sometimes fixate on all of the above.
For me, I have struggled a lot with loving my body for what it looks like, and not just what it does. 
I know I function well, I know I'm strong, and I know I'm healthy - but did I really feel comfortable with the appearance that I had?
All of the negative comments, and passive aggressive questions about my body really can alter the way I look at myself. 
A relationship, and the words said in it about my body can alter the way I love myself.
This is the first time in my life I have truly loved the body I own. The first time I have felt comfortable in my muscles, and skin. 
It isn't everyone's cup of tea - but it has to be your own, if that's the route you so choose.
My wonderful boyfriend, @bradsnookswims, has made me feel more beautiful in who I am than I ever thought possible. It's those you surround yourself with that help steer the mental space you have about yourself. 
This is the first time I am confident. And its flippin' awesome.

Today was an amazing weather day 70 degree weather no excuses time to put on a show. It was longer than the 5k because we did the lower loop twice. 3.7 miles, 31:29, 8:29 pace. I am so lucky with this hawks community plus runners like us, we will continue to carry Gabby's short life plus me carrying Jackie Henderson's memory on. Thank you Brooklyn Track Club and @bowermantc for giving us the ideas on so short notice!

Lil update on journey to stage and prep life 
Mindset is proving to be more and more important as the days go by and comp gets closer. Im not here trying to make out that this journey is easy or perfect. Because let me tell you it is far from that. This journey requires so much mental strength it's crazy. Thus week has probably been the hardest or worst week so far, but today I woke up feeling good. Everyday this week I had to remind myself of my why, Tuesday was a struggle physically because of my shoulders, neck and back being super tight, during the first superset i was ready to walk out. It's so frustrating when things like that happen that you really have no control over. I sat in the bench for a good 15 minutes talking myself into continuing, and to just go abit lighter and take extra rest and stretch out when necessary. Wednesday and Thursday all I did at work for the entire day was pretty much make red velvet cupcakes. 200 of them. Wednesday I managed to get through not too bad. Thursday I gave in, I binged I ate red velvet, not a little but almost a whole piece. Why ? I don't know. I just caved, the feeling afterwards was terrible, feeling like you've let yourself down, failed, annoyed, frustrated so many emotions. You tell your coach they say don't stress, it's normal, everything will be okay, whilst you know what you did wasn't right, you know it's not going to ruin everything. Friday made me determined to get back on track and not let what happened bother me. It also shed some light on listening to my body. So right now I'm on the treadmill doing my fasted cardio at 1:30om because I let myself sleep in and get some much needed rest. Today I am feeling amazing, refreshed and ready to keep powering through these next few weeks. A journey doesn't just go up sometimes it takes bumps on the road to make you level up. 
Over the next 4 weeks I'm going to be journalling and really focusing on mindset, because your body won't go anywhere your mind doesn't push it.
