🖌️🎨 Thank you very much to @friendly.creatures for my fantastic portrait! A very creative and amazing Australian Artist who has caught not only my incredible good looks but also the intellect and emotion deep within my gaze! 🐺 this will definitely sit in prime position about the fireplace! Take a look at her page @friendly.creatures to see the other (less handsome) creatures she had captured and even ask how to become one of them 😁💙❤️ #sohumble #socreative #sohotrightnow
🗝 SUNDAY SPACE
The Yarraville Project, VIC by Brave New Eco
This is a beautiful 1950’s brick bungalow, restored and renovated to fit a family of 4, designed to be wheelchair functional, stylish and sustainable. ⠀⠀
As you may have already figured out, we love it when people embrace the original history and features of a building. The design brief for this project included restoring original features and re-using where possible, including things such as wallpaper, pelmets and wall lights. The colour palette was pulled from the owners collected furniture and objects, creating the perfect backdrop and a warm, homely feel. ⠀⠀
💕 What we love :
- Mid century inspired over bench shelving in the kitchen. - The green used in the kitchen! It’s a very 1950’s colour but feels fresh and contemporary and also pairs beautifully with the timber finishes used.
- The home is filled with colours and textures from the pieces the family has collected over the years, making the space very much their own, lived in and comfortable.
✏️ Inspiration notes : Open shelving is a fantastic way to display the items you love. Boxed shelving, as used in this kitchen around the window and below the overhead cupboards, works beautifully to frame items, be they keepsakes or functional. Don’t feel compelled to fill every shelf. Use negative space to balance out your display. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

First matte crystalline glaze. A big thank you to @tedsecombe who shared the base recipe with us at a workshop that he held last year @chershackleton studio. Have been meaning to give it a try for ages. Will definitely be doing some more.
Blue on blue, always a winner.
Nickel blue crystal explosion.
My favorite piece from Tuesday's firing. Love this glaze, nickel blue crystal sunset.
The request came to make for scary teeth...so Friday night’s adventure included some fimo fun whilst watching The handmaids Tale....whilst waiting for the hubster to finally arrive home....grrrrrrrr 4hr delay for Ads...he looked like this in his return 🤣
